OldEwoodBlue Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 For starters, they will not want sponsorship from any brand which is perceived to be as big or bigger than their own. Remember they think completely differently than us folk. The reason they bought us was not for our history or our future. It was only to have their brand name promoted. Why dilute the fantastic globally recognised Venkys brand with another well known brand. They are happy with small local companies. Quote

Mattyblue Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 So why isn’t Venky’s the title sponsor then? Like Etihad at City or bet365 at Stoke? Quote

Mattyblue Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 It’s on the shirt sleeve, it sponsors the academy teams and it’s all over the ground already, so it would make any difference to me… and surely it’s a way of those ‘that never refuse a cheque’ to put more into the club. Quote
chaddyrovers Posted May 4, 2024 Posted May 4, 2024 (edited) Looks at Luton's ground last night and the amount of different sponsorships they had around the ground. Rovers have nowt of it. Its embarrassing Edited May 4, 2024 by chaddyrovers Quote

Great.... Just what we need: Watson's bloody ass reaming on the front of our kits. That'll have relegation written all over it. Quote

MarkBRFC Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 (edited) Did the fans forum happen on the 8th of July as it was meant too? I hope some serious questions about this shambles of a club were asked. Edited July 16, 2024 by MarkBRFC Quote
Mattyblue Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 (edited) Sure O2G said it’s been moved. End of the day that forum will never take the club to task, not particularly a criticism but it was a group set up in the good old days by John Williams to discuss pies and the range of branded glassware in the club shop and the like as he serenely ran the club, it was never meant to drag execs over the coals. Whereas the twice yearly supporters consultation meetings (quietly dropped during Covid) and it’s ‘critical friend’ very much should be doing as we fall into an existential crisis … as should the local media. only2garners Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 The meeting has been shuffled about a bit (mainly availability issues on the fans' side) and will now be next Monday 22nd. 1 Quote
JHRover Posted July 16, 2024 Posted July 16, 2024 I'd like Waggott to explain why the club aren't holding league-mandated supporter consultation meetings nor shareholder meetings. 7 Quote

We able to put questions forward? We really need to put Waggott under pressure. E.g. the local glazing company they asked to do work but refused due to late payment of a prior job they did, so asked for the payment up front. Edited July 17, 2024 by RoversClitheroe Quote

It’s easy for Waggott & co to take the piss when there’s no accountability. We are in desperate need of a group of fans to get together, apply pressure and hold the club accountable in the way BRAG did. 3 Quote

Mattyblue Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Derby tickets on sale. There’s a £2 ‘discount’ to buying online. But in reality that’s actually a two pound surcharge for buying in person. Such cynical cash grabbing once again, the brass neck of them never ceases to amaze. 4 Quote
Forever Blue Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 £15 for 18-23 year olds. Is that a new matchday pricing? (It actually says 18-27 on twitter) Quote
Mattyblue Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 No they had 18-23s at that price last season, at what is now the ‘discount’ price, of course. Quote
Forever Blue Posted July 22, 2024 Posted July 22, 2024 Oh right, so now it’s £17 if they buy at the shop? Quote
