He’ll have weighed that up by now. He’s got himself back into work and into the shop window. If he’s here this time next year I’ll be amazed.

I wonder how many fans are thinking "if he goes I go"?

Impossible to think we could get it right twice.

Did you really think we were “ nowhere near a relegation battle “ when Eustace was appointed ? I thought we were nailed on, the club was a shambles on and off the pitch.

I thought we were going down for sure.

I didn't take to him straight away, but could see he was trying to make us more organised and harder to beat to start with so gave him the benefit of the doubt after a while.

This season he has set us up superbly so far, especially on this little run.

Nothing is achieved in December though, so if we don't finish higher than 7th and get past the Quarter finals of the FA Cup then he can't be considered our best manager under these idiots.

Even Mowbray won 6 in a row and kept 5 clean sheets in a row in November/December 2021 so forgive me for not getting too excited just yet.

And followed it up with how many games winlessl?

Swings and roundabouts, JDT was very popular on here, but not particularly at Ewood.

Whereas Eustace has always had the fans right behind him since day dot at the ground.

Not sure you are correct on your second statement.

Once a fan, always a fan. No true supporter chops and changes according to who the manager is.

Come off it. We  have lost thousands of fans since Venkys took over! They were true fans whatever you say.

I never said anything about "changing" by the way---just giving up.

I know you can take whatever Venkys dish out forever but always seeing a possible new are and always having it snatched from us can't continue. Lose Eusatace and many will leave---that's my prediction.

2 soul-mates there, together missing the point completely!

You don't stop support your club whoever the manager or the players not sign or sign.

Simple as! Rovers are bigger than one head coach or one player.

The name on the front of the shirt is more important than the name of the back of the shirt.

Some folk on here don’t seem to understand fandom. Why do crowds wax and wane? Because fans are making decisions on what to do with their time and money on a yearly basis - if they don’t like what they’ll see they’ll withdraw it, was ever thus and they are still fans.

Eustace got pelters on here from around March time. Can’t remember hearing any booing around game time though. Admittedly, I was not in the ground but it didn’t seem as though the fans were on Eustaces back. JE didn’t think so anyway

The conduct of some posters on here March onwards though - embarrassing. That much we can say for certain

Need to remember that this place does not reflect the wider fanbase, never has. Mowbray never got a chant against him in five years, he was often pilloried on here. JDT was worshipped at times on the forum, but he was only ever begrudgingly put up with at the ground. Eustace on the other hand has had the fans onside since day one.

I like this place, it’s views generally match up with mine, but I don’t for one minute think it in any way resembles Ewood opinion.

I'm beginning to think that Eustace might be another Souness for Rovers. Not a great manager, but a decent one who is an excellent fit for Rovers. Like Souness I was underwhelmed by the appointment and very sceptical at the start. (And neither had good starts for Rovers.)

The difference is that Souness was adequately backed and we were a normal club then. Sure he had some crown jewels so had an easier job, it's not an exact comparison! But my main point is that it was a great fit. Rather than either being a top manager they were the right fit for us at the time. This time though I think we'll sabotage the connection though.

"I'd love to get players in as quick as we can. Teams around us have already signed players. The quicker we can get players in the better." From LET

Oh dear

JE now publicly asking for signings similar to how JDT used to...let's see who the club try and fail to sign on deadline day and see how JE reacts..

Someone tell Eustace not to panic. Chaddy has decreed that none of the players signed thus far are better than what we've got already and this isn't Football Manager 19 (or whatever the up to date version is called) you can't just go around signing players on the first day.

Highly likely to get more desperate as each day passes.

I think it is very doubtful that we will have signed anyone , by the time, we play Pompey.
