Amen.

Whether it's true or not that he convinced Venkys not to spend money in January, he screwed it up either way. And not for the first time.

You don’t get him out. He latched himself onto Balaji many years ago, pivoting into operations roles within Venkys. Was clearly hooked by Kentaro and Anderson to pass along the acquisition opportunity to his bosses and just so happened to have the exact mixture or hubris, ego and anti-talent in Balaji to make the deal work.

He is their envoy. He was entrusted with the overseeing the running of the club but wasn’t experienced enough for the EFL to be running the show himself, by which, I mean other owners, CEOs that you need to negotiate with. Waggott’s the one who calls up the three other owners/CEOs of football clubs who will actually take his calls to initiate negotiations etc. Suhail will very likely be the next CEO, as by that time he’ll have about ten years of experience. The move to COO this year, after Waggott’s pension contributions took a massive boost (rumoured to be a 100% increase in the current FY, yet to be filed), was conspicuous. Waggott’s on the verge of retirement.

They have basically no idea what happens with the club, except what Pasha tells them. He is Wormtongue (though that’s giving far too much credit to Venkys). Occasionally, they send across their finance bods to review and have a look at the place, but to be fair to them, they’ve no idea what they’re looking at.

He’s here as long as Venkys are here. Unless, of course, something changes that. The question is how much of a stomach either party has for whatever action the fanbase takes, although we can’t really get ourselves organised. So many fans don’t care about anything above the manager.

Target the last home game against Watford (if we have nothing to play for) for protest.

Lets see ALL fans and groups come together under the banner enough is enough.

For christs sake shape yourselves,we cant carry on like this!

Won’t happen as plenty in the ground still see them as the only possible people ‘to put x million in’ and it’s the rest of us that are the fools… and the likes of Swag-hail know that all too well.

The most notable dissent since day 1 has been the collapse in crowds, we’ll see another visible iteration of it next season.

Not when season tickets start at the bargain price of £550

What do we know about Suhail's career/background? There seems to be very little online for someone who is COO of a large organisation.

Is it likely he had any interest in football or had ever attended a football match before becoming COO here?

Maybe he was successful elsewhere in another industry, but that doesn't guarantee success in this one, just look at Jim Ratcliffe.

Thanks for that 👍

So he was head of international sales in the chicken farming industry, now he's deciding how a professional football club is run...

and a sales exec for Tropicana 😉

I have to be honest, listening to that interview tonight, if he's an intelligent and successful business professional...he's doing a good job of sounding anything but.

I think most of us can spot a blagger a mile off.

Just because someone has ended up being successful in business doesn't mean they've got any brains.

Going back to my pre-retirement life, if I’d encountered those three in the boardroom, the only one I’d have listened to was Sunhail. I didn’t like everything he said, but at least he said it clearly and briefly. The other two however, are obviously out of their depth. The Geordie Sir Les Patterson blathers on endlessly, saying nothing and with zero charisma. Jeremy the trainee next to him was even worse, he makes Greg the Egg sound like Warren Buffet.

They spoke like exactly what they are, 3 well paid and perked executives who are just there for a wage as long as the lights are kept on regardless of how the team does.

Rabbits in the headlights following the same set script with their hands tied from above, small timers who've assisted in shrinking a big club and now like to pretend its never been anything else.
