Michael123458
Very tough one this Sunderland have been scoring a lot in recent games I’ve seen last few weeks but back at ewood think we have enough here. Get crosses in the box first time we can hurt these. Rovers 2 0 Sunderland

BankEnd Rover
Will tells us all where we are as a team on this game. We'll have 2 key players out but I'm confident in Beck and Baker as covers...4 points in the next 2 games would be a great return.

ACD will be a very lucky boy to get a start. He was poor yesterday and any Sunderland scout watching our game yesterday will have seen just how to deal with him. Luckily for him Dolan was worse when he came on. I’ve made my views clear about Hedges previously but what alternatives are there with Beck needed at full back. Gueye ? I can’t remember another Rovers player like him. How many touches did he have in our opponents penalty area yesterday ? We make so few chances that we need a clinical finisher up front. That’s exactly what he isn’t.

MarkBRFC
Think yesterday conceding so late could be a killer. I'm going for a 0-0 or 1-1 draw. Edited December 22, 2024 by MarkBRFC
sharpysharps86
Disappointing outcome yesterday but I think Rovers will get something from Boxing Day. When the games come thick and fast I'd say that 4 points from the next 2 would be pretty acceptable, but crucial not to lose either of them. Would like to see Cantwell back in the number 10 role.

JRC has been good since he came into the team and I also think ACD needs to start.
roversfan99
Pears JRC Hyam Batth Beck Tronstad Baker ACD Cantwell Weimann Gueye The left hand side and the striker are obviously big areas where we need to improve and it feels like any could play there and I wouldnt be very confident that they will do anything.

JRC doesn't provide the width we seen Brittain do from the right and we need that if ACD or Dolan or Weimann playing from the right. Given we got 4 games within a space of time, we need to manage ACD time given he has just come back from injuries. 4 hours ago, roversfan99 said: Pears JRC Hyam Batth Beck Tronstad Baker ACD Cantwell Weimann Gueye The left hand side and the striker are obviously big areas where we need to improve and it feels like any could play there and I wouldnt be very confident that they will do anything. Playing Weimann from the left will repeat the same problem as Millwall away which is the lack of width on the left side. I would play Hedges from there. Gives you the width and I would pick Brittain at Right back allowing to us move into 3-4-2-1 formation when we have the ball and back in defensive shape of 4-2-3-1 formation. We play much better when we do this
philipl
Huge test with the winning run punctured and key absences (that we know of- there may be more after the bruiser at the Den). Sunderland have that little matter of the 5-1 thumping at the Stadium of Light to exorcise before their noisy support. All three results a 33% chance by my reckoning with the 1% left over going on a postponement...

I think it's a squad game at this part of the season, got to keep the squad fresh. Would use ACD off the bench around the hour mark with a view to starting him vs Hull. He's a young lad who has started 2 professional games.
