Crap relative to the level then.

Did you think Jason Lowe and Hope Akpan were crap?

no cos they are professional footballers who played at the second highest level of English football. Yes they aren’t the greatest footballers in the world but have played in Championship football and have forged pro career. They are squad players at this level but you used word like crap alot in discussions on pro players and some playing in PL football. You might not rate them but professional managers and head coaches over the years have done

I do like the idea of him as a 'second striker', behind Gueye, running onto flick-ons and picking up scraps.

But I don't think we can afford to drop Cantwell; he's just got that extra bit of quality that, even if he has a crap game, he can pop up with a moment of magic.

LAG doesn’t have quite the ring to to it that SAS still has.

Agreed - could we drop Cantwell back into CM with Travis out. Get him playing from a little deeper and affecting the game more in order to play that second striker in home games?

               Cantwell     Sonny

       Dolan.         Yuki.         ACD

                         Gueye

Seen quite a few Hull fans grumbling about tickets not being on sale on the day for them. You'd think that ridiculous 'rule' would have been scrapped today, a perfect opportunity to get more fans through the door. It's not too far and many fans would have made the decision to travel over as there's not a lot else going on today!

We’d get over run with Cantwell back there. The lad must be the slowest player at the club.

All so they don’t need to man the away ticket office for a couple of hours.

Deffo no for me. Cantwell has to play one of the 3 behind the main striker. Ohashi up top with Dolan, Cantwell and ACD behind him. Rest Tronstad for Leeds game. Baker and Buckley today for me

I've seen you post this a few times.

Why would you rest Tronstad today fretting about the Leeds game?

Which game represents the best possible opportunity to get three points?

Exactly. Today.

No one in the club is thinking about Leeds. Apart from you.

The most important game is the next one and it represents a good chance of three points. Give the p!ayers tomorrow and Tuesday off and they should be fine for Leeds. Every Championship club is in the same position so let's just get on with it and pick up more points.

I bet our management team are thinking about Leeds and using the squad over the next week. We have 3 games in 7 days.

Tronstad will need a rest at some point. For me, today's game would be my choice with him on the bench

Every game represents a chance of 3 points and We have beat them twice under Eustace, lets hope again on New year day

Play your best team.

Seems to be an acceptance that we can rest whoever we want today and just turn up and win, change it too much and we'll get bitten.

Worry about Leeds at 5pm this afternoon.

Wrong. Today game will be as difficult as ever but we have use the squad. We have/had 4 games in 10 days.

It's not wrong chaddy. It's just not your opinion.

Most people don't agree with you on this. For me ALWAYS play your strongest side irrespective of the opposition or competition and then if necessary bring players off around the hour mark hopefully with the game already in the bag.

I know a lot of people wouldn't agree with me on doing that for every competition but again that's a matter of opinion.

We rest a load of players today and as a result don’t win the most winnable game. We then play our best side in the following two against a couple of the league’s best teams and win neither of those too - be a bit silly, wouldn’t it?

Not that I agree with the strategy but If Allardyce was still our manager and was playing a full strength side today and resting players for one or both of the more difficult games I'm sure chaddy would be full square behind it.

In my team I have rested loads. I've rest one player FFS in Tronstad, that's it! Pick ACD over Hedges to play wide left.

Fair enough.

No cos we beaten Leeds at their ground last season and at Ewood Park this season. We got a very much well deserved point against that lot. Every team at this level is more than capable of being each other.
