Usual overreaction. It’s the Championship, and for most teams that means good runs then bad runs….rinse and repeat.

And lest we not forget, there’s been mimimal investment in that squad for nearly 2 seasons. Hull’s transfer spend and wage budget will both be higher than ours. On investment alone our team should be botttom 6, not top 6.

We need attackers, and good ones.

Wouldn't say it's an over-reaction.

Sounds like we we absolutely terrible today and you're agreeing with everyone else that we need attacking reinforcements.

Oh we are certainly safe in that respect. I think he's been average all season, not sure were the hype came from.

The hype came from him spraying the ball around in his own half. I’ve said all along he’s one of those players who looks good dropping deep and pinging it around, which teams are happy for him to do as it doesn’t hurt them.

He’s missed several really important chances in 3 or 4 different games that have gone on to be costly. For all the talk of his ‘class’ I’ve yet to see him run a game for Rovers, and when I say run I mean in areas that hurt teams.

You're certainly correct on what you say. It's the overall scenario that fecks people off. So very, very depressing.

Fair comment mate.

I think the fact this happens every year and ends up with us falling off a cliff and achieving next to nothing is a big part of the 'overreaction'. The depressing inevitability is another one.

No two ways about it, a home game vs 23rd should be one we are winning.

Agree on the rest of it - can't fault Eustace and we desperately need attacking prowess.

Thanks for that amazing insight. Good teams play well. And good teams beat teams in the relegation zone

He was just making a point that all teams in/around the top 6 dropped points today. Don't think he was excusing our performance or result.

Nail on head there I'd say.

If he's playing like this when we're in and around the play off positions I dread to think what he'll be like if we slide down the table and he really spits his dummy out

Never really helpful to say things like this.
People are annoyed that we lost and will express that viewpoint on here, especially in the immediate aftermath of a defeat.

Was the overreaction from anyone in particular? Any examples?

To add to that, nobody is having a go at eustace, it's (as usual, and rightly) focused on the running of this great football club.

Wasn't a good game at all.. but enough chances to win it.

We are a club that has to maximise our resources, in the whole JE is doing that.

Our players need to maximise thier opportunities when we do we will do well, today we didn't.

I also think we got the line up wrong today, Gueye is poor, perhaps ok to bring on to shake things up last 20 mins and also Dolan is a show pony only. Baker slows it all down so we need another option there, sorry 'one of our own' is not the solution.
