I’m sorry you’re offended I also expressed a viewpoint. And we’re all unhappy we lost.

I was referring to ‘death spirals’ and ‘another mid season collapse’. All silly talk after one bad result. The examples are there if you care to look for them.

I’m not offended, I’m just trying to maintain message board harmony. Not sure why anyone expects total reason and rationality from fans after we lost at home to second bottom and played terribly, but there we are.

I expect us to win our home games. One point from two home games.

Maybe if we'd beaten Millwall, the point against Sunderland would have looked acceptable.

Then with today, that would have been one bad result but then again if my Aunty would have had balls and all that.

We won the previous 6. Does that not make it ‘acceptable’ or are you dismissing those wins?

3 bad results. It’s the same shit every fucking season. You can keep happily clapping, but it’s like Groundhog Day.

When does a blip become a spiral? 🙂

Chickens to roost home coming (re long term cuts).

Things usually revert to the mean –team overachieved early on in the season? We’ll have to see how it goes.

You’ve missed out an n, if you’re referring to the owners and CEO.

Come on mate, it’s been stated that we should win every home game. No excuses!

You’d not expect us to beat Hull Fuckng City at home??
We blew it against Sunderland. 2 points dropped after that first half. Even you can see that surely?

Really bad result and an huge opportunity missed.
We've gone from 6 on the bounce to now, more than likely, gaining 1/2 points from a possible 15 with the next 2 games coming up...A few days ago we were comfortably in the plays off and I bet your bottom dollar this time next week we will be sitting  well out. Luckily for us today results have half gone our way, as much as I hate them down the road, I hope they do us a favour at boro.

Such an important few weeks coming up, we HAVE to win our game in hand.

Our game is based on being enthusiastic and organised with very limited players.

We were always going to struggle during this ridiculous period. Losing Travis and Pickering has only compounded things.

We’ll see what January brings. We’ve had a couple of bad results. That’s it.

We tend to agree a lot on here fella but I think you're wide of the mark on this one.

Almost everyone is in agreement that Eustace is wringing practically everything out of a fairly limited squad, one injury in midfield has exposed just how thin the team is spread.

Couple that with being conditioned to seeing a good manager and/or few good players regularly drag us into playoff contention in the first half of the season only for serial lack of investment to scupper progress I think people are entitled to interpret our loss of form as they have. I certainly am, to a degree.

I'd be less concerned if our next two games weren't as difficult as they are but any way you look at it, turning in a performance like that against a team as poor as Hull is extremely disappointing.

Results like this are why Eustace keeps talking about sticking with them when things aren’t going our way. We are in a position none of us expected and had a fabulous run. We lost 3 on the bounce before and then won 6 on the bounce. This league is difficult, particularly with a squad our size.

Listening to Eustace talking post match, his assessment is spot on and I really believe he will challenge the players to up their game and ‘be the man’. I didn’t expect us to be pushing for promotion pre season but I do believe with a couple of shrewd additions we could be up there. Need a better replacement  / cover for injuries in the middle of the park, as well as the obvious striker and left sided midfielder. If not, I think we will fall away and end up mid table. I would have taken that at the start of the season but seems a shame after the way we have started.

Since we were promoted, the sum of our last three matches of each calendar year is:

Played 21

Won.    3

Drawn.  4

Lost.     14

A symptom  of a small squad?

Got to more to it than that. It’s a worrying pattern though.

That was a poor loss.

I don't know what the xG says, but it feels like they only had one shot on target (before we started chasing the game) and scored it.

Gueye, Weimann and ACD had shots blocked and Cantwell and Beck missed absolute sitters. On another day that's a 3-0 win.

We need several players in the window - a backup LB, another CM, at LEAST another wide player with pace.

You saw the difference when Baker went off - Buckley simply isn't up to it at this level. He's a liability. Sell him and Sigurdsson.

Until we actually spend some money I won't get excited about being in and around the Playoffs. Eustace is working miracles to have us anywhere near.

Yeah this is a really poor result. The only compensation is that the teams around us also failed to win, and although I hate to say it, let's hope 'that lot' do us a favour tonight as well. When the chances come and go and you're at home to a side fighting relegation then its inevitable what comes next.

Best not to expect anything from the Leeds game. Would rather not think about the 4th Jan right now.

The one thing I'm clinging to is that we're exactly at the halfway point in the season. and Rovers are far surpassed anyone's expectations. Let's hope it continues over the next 23, but without a new addition up front and some pace out wide it'll be a tough ask.

I stated facts, how am I ‘wide of the mark’? I didn’t extrapolate any deep meaning from those results. Good runs, bad runs.

We’ll see what January brings in the transfer market. It will make the difference between maintaining a play off push and mid table. I’m surprised anyone is able to say anything else with any certainty.
