moerpho Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Very good defensive performance. They have all been good and Leeds didn't really produce any big chances. Not much up front but could have scored from a corner. Hope for more of the same 2nd half and then we nick it in the 98th minute. 1 Quote
onlyonejackwalker Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Job done so far. Much as we expected. Keep the faith. Elsewhere, North End are 3-0 down at West Brom. Hope they get 6. Quote

Bringing on Buckley would change the shape and would almost certainly end up getting beat, he’s not the man you want in the trenches ! 1 Quote
jim mk2 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Good defending but can we keep that up for another 45 minutes? No attacking threat. 1 Quote

davulsukur Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Playing for a draw. Risky strategy and one JE employed last season when he came in. Might work but we aren't scoring in a brothel here. 2 Quote
neophox Posted January 1 Posted January 1 With some quality up the pitch we would storm this league. Everyone can see that. Batth and Becks are class and Hyam has stepped up with Danny alongside him. 3 Quote

If we tried to out-football them we’d leave gaps and probably get battered. The difference in quality between us and them at the top end of the pitch is frightening. den Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Like everyone else says, defended from the front and defended well. Neither keeper had a save to make. Absolutely no pace anywhere. Im sure Rovers have a pacy, quality front man lined up already. 2 Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 1 Moderation Lead Posted January 1 Got a stream and unfortunately it’s Leeds United TV. Essentially their analysis amounts to: ‘I can’t believe Rovers haven’t laid down and let us tickle their bellies’. 4 Quote

moerpho Posted January 1 Posted January 1 Games like these prove we have a good manager and a group of players who are willing to listen to him. 1 Quote

As I said earlier, if we were even slightly good at set plays, we’d have a masterplan. We’ve shit at them for many many years. Edited January 1 by Dan 1 Quote
roverandout Posted January 1 Posted January 1 (edited) Chris ilewmu is a good co commentator Edited January 1 by roverandout 2 Quote
Forever Blue Posted January 1 Posted January 1 The Scottish guy on Sky co-comms is a complete bellend. I think it’s Chris Iwelumo. Ex-Dingle 1 1 Quote

I know we can't out football them and I wouldn't expect us to try, but without pace hitting a team on the break, as we've shown so far, doesn't really work. Quote
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted January 1 Moderation Lead Posted January 1 Another pearler from LUTV, this time from the mouth of Michael Bridges. ’We need to be beating teams like this’. We’re 5th, you cheeky swine! 5 Quote
jim mk2 Posted January 1 Posted January 1 This is a team based on rock solid defence. That works some of the time but, as stated above, when it doesn't and Leeds score where is the Rovers goal coming from? Quote
moerpho Posted January 1 Posted January 1 No changes at half time. Looking at our bench that's sorta understandable. Quote
