That's a good win after the Bumley disappointment

Rovers love playing in the north-east ........ can we play there every week?

Thought we got as bad a draw as possible so superb to get through to the next round with no injuries or drama

Gueye used how he should be there but we still clearly need a new main man

Why Wycombe?

Just picking a tie we should in theory get through.

If a team lower ranked than Wycombe get through, I'll take that instead.

Is it too much to hope for a kind draw, and by that I mean a lower league side at home?  I'd love a good cup run

Typical Eustace away performance. I never felt Boro looked like scoring, and the longer it went on the more we looked like we would get infront. Very similar to the league game.

Comfortable victory today. Looked very solid at the back and showed a few nice passing sequences. Another 115k prize money in the coffers too. Hopefully get a more exciting draw in the next round

Through to the next round

Toth looked useful, barring one dodgy pass which I will give the benefit of the doubt and blame the sun in his eyes

Nobody injured

Dolan & especially Gueye did really good jobs holding up the ball and taking off the pressure  when they came on

Another youth team graduate made his first team debut

Can we play Boro every week?

Either that or a clash with a prem team, anything more interesting than another championship team again

Oh give over.

Too early to tell, would have been nice for Boro to put more crosses in to see how he handled them. However, one thing I did notice; he made a save late the second half and he palmed it out well away from goal, well away from the danger, which is something Pears fails to do very often.

So far certainly looks at least a better backup than Leo was.

If unfortunately the Dingles get through, I wouldn’t mind getting them. That might be the few beers I’ve had taking, but I really want to beat those fuckers.

Bah humbug! Totally forgot it was kickoff at noon so went to the shop with the missus thinking it was starting at 3. Doh. Second game I’ve missed this season and of course we win, but can’t really complain can I? Despite not seeing the game I hope we can put together a cup run this season. It’s always good for morale and winning games is what we live for isn’t it. Onwards and upwards!

Just seen the Weimann miss. Not defending him at all because he still should put that away, but it is a slightly awkward bounce and that is a stonewall penalty surely? Their keeper absolutely flattens him as soon as the ball leaves his boot. On the radio it sounded like much more of a delay before the keeper brings him down.

Still should be scoring it, just glad he made up for it moments later.

A lot dismiss its importance but always good to get through to the next round of the cup and also to halt a poor run of form.

Boro rolled over with a massively changed side whereas we put close to our most likely available 11 out so you would expect us to win but a professional job nonetheless.

Defence again solid as a rock, never felt like we would concede. Toth made a decent save and a few standard catches although a couple of mistakes on the ball. Tronstad as ever very good.

Going forward we simply dont have the quality. Leonard is nowhere near it, missed some sitters and doesnt seem to understand the offside rule. Cantwell again anonymous, JRC never a winger and Weimann is over the hill but at least he has the ability to put away chances. We badly need some quality and pace through the door ASAP.

In light of Baker going back, Travis being out and signing Forshaw, Buckley unfortunately might have a bit of a run at game time. He again was terrible.

We're better away from home. The team mindset and players we have at present is better at defending.

We should have won by more today. The lack of a goalscorer will kill us in the end

I didn’t realise till Andy Bayes mentioned it but O’Grady-Macken is the nephew of John Macken

Links to Paul O’Grady yet to be established

Kevin Gallagher reckoned he should have thrown his cap on the one he palmed away and caught it.

Not that Pears is any better in that respect mind.

That’s already failed for us once this season
