I think this could explain why England haven't won anything.... too many Spurs players!

Also very surprised West Ham aren't on that list. Don't think their fans would like to see that Rovers and West Brom have had more England internationals...

Also sad that just before matt jansen was about to make his England debut.  He got that terrible food poisoning.  Matt said that souness told him after one of the rovers games that he was in the world cup squad . Read his autobiography

We can't get credit for the likes of Warnock, Bentley, Shearer, and then also want credit for Wharton.

I think his point is more that Wharton should have been held onto for longer and hopefully made his debut with us, or that if Venkys weren't such clowns there's a decent chance he could have made his England debut with a Premiership Blackburn Rovers.
