I’m happy Pears is back after Toths dreadful performance midweek. Good to hear that Eustace publicly acknowledged how poor Toth was.

Toth looks Walstedt Mk2. He has no presence in the six yard box and a feeble punch. The goalkeeping scout needs sacking.

Told the team for tomorrow is:

Pears

Sanderson
Batth
Hyam

Brittain
Hedges

Forshaw
Buckley

Gueye
Dolan
Weimann

Cantwell and Travis are on the bench.

Don't shoot me if it's wrong but don't think it is.

gotta make sure Cantwell has no injuries if we are to cash in on him in these last 10 days of the window….. (sarcasm but wouldn’t put it past Shaggot and co)

this has spanking written all over it though with Buckley and Forshaw in middle of the park, no bite and will be overrun in midfield

Won a nice acca last year and have taken the family to Thailand with the winnings. I was raging after Tuesday and didn’t pack my Chromecast in an attempt to preserve my happiness. Regretting that now obviously as it’ll be a 10pm kick off here and I’ll likely definitely be at least 12 Chang’s deep.

I’ve given up trying to predict how we’ll perform now. Thought we’d get at least 4 from the last 2. And thought we’d get next to none in our 6 game win streak. Crossing my fingers Eustace gets a reaction. Second team players have an opportunity to step up and “be the man” as he likes to stay.

Please not a repeat of last season whatever happens.

COME ON ROVERS LET’S TURN IT BACK ON COURSE

Heard the same team but wasn't sure on the wing backs. I didn't know Brittain was fit though, he'd make a really good wing back. I said when Sanderson signed I'd like to see a back 3 with Brittain and Beck bombing forward, that's a shame if Beck is out though 😵

Definitely that formation?

As against:

                             Pears

Sanderson         Batth         Hyam        Brittain

                       Forshaw      Buckley

Dolan                     Weimann               Hedges

I don’t hate Hedges at wing back

Ironically given that he's supposedly an attacking player I think he'd offer more from a defensive side of the wing back role than going forward! Certainly can't knock his graft and tracking back in games, just very little offensively....

I’d start Garrett? Or is he injured also? He’s not gone on loan and can move more than Forshaw. Then replace him on the 60 mark with Travis.

They want to loan him out again, if he plays for Rovers, they cannot do that

Edit - Personally I would bring him back into the squad at this stage given current injuries etc

Not expecting much today. A 0 0 would be encouraging with Trav's 20 minute followed by a few signings.

A 0 2 result though would ignite things ready for the nobbers game because we need a local derby home win if nothing else happens this season.

I know, we are 6th 🤨

Shame that Beck hasn't made it, the lad is just an excellent full back, who'd be just as good as a wing back. Hedges should do ok as a wing back i think though.

Big surprise there is no Cantwell and him starting Weimann was always going to happen as we hope for the "law of the ex", and hope he bags against his former employers.

Seems very unlike JE to call out a player in public, where did he do this?

Yeah I was surprised when he said it. I think it was in this interview

Beck was struggling after a 50/50 in the first half of the Coventry game. I thought he was going to go down but was taking a corner a minute or so later but he was still flexing his knee for a lot of the first half. Wouldn't be surprised to see he's injured.

If the leaked lineup is true, at least we have 3 good options off the Bench in Trav, Cantwell and ACD.

I have a strange feeling we will get something from this game. Bristol are a good team but I can see this being a typical Eustace away performance. Frustrate and get lucky on the break or set piece.

A draw would be a good but a win would be a real boost!

Can't see past a spanking,

Recent form's been manking,

We have no teeth, and lost belief

Whilst the team's been tanking,

Though JE we are thanking,

The backroom lot are planking

Our Chief Exec - I'd wring his neck

The time he wastes just wanking.

We have to go and be professional in the face of adversity, uncertainty and instability, in the full knowledge that sadly things are unlikely to improve in the short to medium term. One day at a time, one game at a time, one day we will look back and these troubled times will be a mere blurry blip on the record of our club, and the odious unprofessionals who thieve a living from our beloved Rovers will never be called to mind again. Because we are better, bigger and more invested than any of them, and in the end it is our love for the club that will endure.

Today is a big ask for a group of players who are no doubt aware of the shite that rains down around their club. I am sure that JE will gird their loins to produce the best they can from the depleted resources available, and no doubt they will be cheered by the roaring contingent north of 1000 who have braved the conditions to be there today..

Hoping for: Brizzle 0 Rovers 1

Happy Days: Fonz 0 Ritchie Rovers 2

Hard knocks: Grizzly Brizzle 3 Drizzly Rovers 0
