Play Buckley further up the pitch would be another option, I think he's had some unfair criticism in the couple of games he started. Bearing in mind he's barely played 300 minutes in 18 months I think he's actually done remarkably well. There has been loss of possession through delaying but he's also created some chances and looked relatively dynamic going forward. Most notably he seems to have been improving as each game goes on, which is to be expected given the lack of playing time. Shaky first 10 before growing into the game and being subbed at 70 (match fitness).

If north end win on Friday, they’ll be just 2 points behind us and 95% probability of finishing above us…, again.

They were absolutely miles behind us not that long ago. They’re not a brilliant side by any means It happens every year, it’s predictable. Most rovers fans could see it coming. So what does that tell us about how this group of players have been let down, what does it illustrate?

It’s amateurish and it’s simply not acceptable.

We will be relatively well rested, not actually been playing that badly, at home, and will have Travis back so we really have to and should expect to win this one.

If we dont we've got big problems.

Alas, I don’t share your confidence.

Preston’s recent form is exactly the opposite of ours, and they have a great record at Ewood in recent seasons.

I don't think our manager and players will be as frightened of PNE as many on here. Home results were good all season until the last three or four games. Eustace constantly talked about a fortress.

It's now or never if this group want individual and team success. Which all of them will.  

I believe they will re-group, roll their sleeves up, re-calibrate and go again. I'm expecting a fully committed performance and with a little bit of luck, a victory.

Talking of luck, we had quite a bit in our decent run. And very little of late. Injuries, deflected goals, near misses, etc. Nothing lasts forever.

It's the end of January and we are 7th. Time to stop flapping about our prospective loan or free transfer saviour firing us to promotion. 

The fans haven't turned on the players or manager. We understand the struggle. 1200 at Bristol, even though many thought we would lose 4 zip. Its high time we got our shit together, especially in local derbies.

If folk want to ‘flap’ about transfers on here then crack on. The players and manager are being backed at games, so I doubt that Roverboy95 posting about being upset re no striker and how he hates Suhail is going to impact the game on Friday.

Gotta go for it in this one. Preston are shit 9 times out of 10. Pompey trounced them not so long back and they’re inconsistent more often than not.

I just hope that we play the dark arts like everyone else does - this lot do especially.

Against Bristol every time one of our players made minimal contact, they went down and the ref bought it every time.

Its all well and good getting up straight away after being clattered but it impacts on the refs decisions.

We are a bit too naive at times.

Over the last nine seasons, Preston have won five times at Ewood.

We’ve won once.

Their current form is miles better than ours.

glad of a weeks rest,at least we`ll have fresh legs for the pne game and travis is likely to be back,can`t say i`me relishing the game,north end are the northen millwall,dirty and good at set pieces,thats about their game,not a good match up for us at moment,with all our injuries,hopefully we score first or it`s another defeat

We're on the Ewood Express again for this so there'll be a bit of excited noise up in the top of the BBE. Our lot are a bit of a jinx as we lost to Bristol the first time they came, the Blackpool game got cancelled due to the FA Cup and we drew with Plymouth last season. I don't hold out much hope but at least some little people are buzzing about it...
