Brittain MoM again for me.

He's a different player this season. Very impressive performance.

Definitely the player who seems to have benefited the most from working under Eustace.

Prestom were all over us last 15 mins but thought most of the second half we were completely in control.

Mmmm, didn't see it that way.

We were on the backfoot most of the time and Preston created several good chances 2 of which they should have scored.

Our midfield virtually disappeared once Travis went off

Good win though. We deserve a break

The penalty should in fact have been an indirect free kick, for dangerous play. But I'm not complaining. Just pointing out the Laws of the Game 😉

Yep it was never a penalty for that header, there was however a foul on Bath that could well have been given.

JDT liked his full backs to come inside and overload central midfield (hence JRC looked great at right back under him), Eustace likes at least one to overlap wide (which benefits Brittain)

Dunno... Travis has gone from a solid Championship performer to one of the very best midfielders in the division. Hyam and Pears also completely transformed.

Very nervy end, but I think Rovers just edged it. PNE didn't do enough in the game to genuinely deserve anything from it IMO.

The desperate need for reinforcements is made even clearer when Eustace made his changes. Cantwell aside, every other sub weakened the team, so it was no real surprise that Preston came on strong at the end. Hopefully Kargbo plus a couple of others can come in and freshen things up.

2 tough away fixtures next in QPR and WBA. Really wish they hadn't moved the QPR game forward!

Who was the manager / head coach we had when we last beat Preston at Ewood? Tony Mowbray? Or is it even further back?

Blackburn Rovers defender Callum Brittain told Sky Sports:

"We've been on a bit of a bad run. As the gaffer has said, the performances have been there. We've been a bit unlucky but we've dug in tonight and got three points.

"I'm buzzing for the fans, a derby win against Preston and I'm over the moon.

"We need to be better in the last 10 minutes. We shouldn't be conceding. Clean sheets are massive in this league and we should be prioritising them.

"We move on to Tuesday, another away game in the Championship so we move on."

Can't argue with any of that.

Good performance apart from the last 10 mins, thought we controlled the game pretty much comfortably.

Brittain great again and another mention for big Mac who has looked a completely different animal the last few weeks.

Pears hasn't been transformed, he's just got a much better defence in front of him so he has less to do.

He cost us a goal tonight.

Hes got a mistake in him, and had some real howlers in previous seasons,  but I dont think Potts goal today can be blamed on him.

Hes had a lot of games this season where he has made a lot of good saves. I certainly wouldn't be putting Toth in from what Ive seen.

Not just me - think Pears average rating on here is pretty good this year.
