he`s got an attitude problem, all the talent but no application, hence his disapearing act in most games, especially away from home

Im not convinced he has "all the talent" and its just an application issue.

He had a decent form of run under Mowbray further forward but since hes been moved back he has struggled. Give him the ball in a tight area and he loses it. Give it him in space and he takes too many touches and loses the momentum of any attack.

In recent games against Nobbers they have, by and large bullied us. Players like Evans, Whiteman, Stockley have had the measure of us physically and in my view that has gone a long way to them getting a result. I genuinely think they see us as soft. The first thing we have to do tomorrow is compete and every player has to win his individual battle.

The game also needs the referee (Josh Smith) to be strong on their gamesmanship. They will try and slow the game down at every opportunity particularly restarts and I wouldn't be surprised if they have employed the latest tactic of the keeper going down 'injured' so an impromptu team meeting can be held on the touchline.

It's going to be a tight affair I think with not too much entertainment. I'll happily take that as long as long as we win.

Think BW is out for Nobbers 🤞

Where's Sparks Rovers also? 🤔

maybe he`s a player who needs to play just off a centre forward,in a free role, his range of passing is excellent and so is his vision, though he could`nt tackle his mum and he is`nt the biggest lad either, however,we don`t play that way and therefore buckley continues to struggle

i though the same about rothwell,if he got space further up the pitch,he looked a class act,but like buckley,he could`nt tackle and if it was`nt going his way after 20 minutes,he`d disapear into his own world

Rothwell even though its been on loan has excelled at this level for a number of years. And thats been predominantly in a midfield 2.

Its not Buckley's inability to tackle. His awareness of whats around him is poor and he needs far too long on the ball, he moves it slowly often taking too many touches.

Im not saying he doesnt have issues with application, but I dont think hes particularly good anyway.

Whiteman is definitely out injured, Stockley left some time ago and Evans hasn’t made the squad in the last two games - may have been injured, I don’t know, but he doesn’t often feature. Of course they have plenty of others in a similar mould though.

The biter is playing. I saw somewhere that there was a cheap looking flag with him photoshopped as a vampire.

I know, I was using them as an example of how in recent times they have bullied us. Ledsom, Osmajic, Potts and the centre halves will be at it tonight.

Put Buckley further forward, and you'd probably get a goal or two out of him.

I do think our own team are more grittier than we have been in the past, plus we are going into the game as a much stronger defensive unit

I do agree with Eustace aswell, in the main performances haven't been terrible in this bad run considering the players out we have stuck in games and bar 1 or 2 with a bit more luck more points could have come our way

Travis back, no midweek game,Whiteman a miss for them I'm feeling confident tonight

1 clean sheet in the last 9.

We'll definitely concede tonight, we can just never seem to cope with Preston here, as said before they are always just so much bigger, stronger, quicker and more athletic.

Whiteman isnt much of a miss. Preston fans arent too fond of him and I think McCann and their Icelandic midfielder often play ahead of him anyway.

Granted the clean sheets haven't been forthcoming recently but in seasons past we where susceptible to taking hidings and conceding 2 or 3 goals per game. With the way Eustace has us set up we are nearly always in a game

If Gueye performs aswell as he has last couple I can see 3 points here.Disgusting the manager and players haven't been helped with players through the door  anyone added be to late for Qpr aswell.

Next 3 league games massive

In recent weeks we have played quite well (apart from Oxford when we were poor) and in some of the defeats actually played better than in some of the games when we won six on the spin. Nobbers will undoubtedly try it on both physically and mentally but we simply have to match that including the dirty tricks. The game needs a strong referee unlike the one we had against Burnley recently.

I was told that a few days after the Burnley game Eustace took all the first team squad into the video analysis room at Brockhall and made them watch the Dingles taking the piss out of our club with their ridiculous celebrations particularly with the corner flag stunt. The gist of his message was this doesn't happen again on our home ground.

Hopefully the players heeded this.
