I can 100% guarantee that they were quoted a compensation figure by Rovers, so why ask?

no idea, asked your contact

Have I changed my mind on if we should have offered him a new contract in October? No. It would have been ridiculous.

Do I think we should be offering him a new contract now? I think the offseason would be the time to discuss an extension.

Ridiculous is that. We should have offered him a new contract asap and should have offered it 6 months ago. I can very easily see his impact on the squad, the club and the fans.

It'll be everything Venkys deserve if he does leave. Preferring to go to a club in the relegation zone and, from what it looks like without a pot to piss in, says everything you need to know about our wretched owners.

Sadly as always it's us mugs that still follow the shell that is Blackburn Rovers 2025, that suffer.

Goodbye Eustace and thanks for the terrific job you've done.

Had my doubts last season but this season he's truly excelled.

Can't blame the guy should he go.

Think underlines just what a joke of a club  Rovers are.

If Eustace had been backed early in this last window, even modestly, we would not have this scenario.

Time for @chaddyroversto give us his list of successors for Eustace.

I don't think he will go to Derby and will stay with us till end of the season, after that who knows. Going to Derby would be very strange move and not a forward move but a backwards move.

on the WBA link, that is pocket change for them tbh and I would suggest West Brom who were close to appointing Billy McKinlay Everton set to appoint 55-year-old in new West Brom manager contention, before he joined Moyes at Everton. They were never serious about appointing Eustace.

Wake up and smell the coffee instead of always defending the rats

I’d forgive him, he’s just highlighting to everyone how much of a shit show the club is. Could you imagine working with suhail, rudy, and waggot. Fuck that I’m outa here. The longer Eustace stays here the more the club will mess him about, the worse his CV will get, because nothing good comes out of Blackburn rovers right now it’s all doom and gloom. He’s worked miracles to get the team where it is, the club clearly haven’t backed him to what he wanted.

Venkys

fans bickering (can’t be blamed)

attendances

certain staff

ewood park

court cases

contracts

No ambition

40 million in sales nothing invested.

Which good footballing person/decent human being wants to be apart of that.

This is it in a nutshell. A manager with ambition could forgive some of these, in our case the attendances, fans etc. What can't be forgiven is no transparency on the operation, the lack if ambition etc.

Even the lack of investment could be forgiven to a degree if we were tying players down to long term contracts, but we're not, and we're also not really signing many players on longer contracts either.

I  doubt any club in the country runs with as little foresight as Rovers does.

Waggott will spin this as a win - got him for nothing, sold him for 750K.

And will spend absolutely nothing on his replacement.

We’ll always potentially attract a decent manager whilst at this level. Good wage, nice facilities and you won’t get sacked, can get your feet right under the table… however won’t take long for an ambitious manager to realise what an unprofessional outfit this is and will want out.

Surely there is a limit to how many times that can happen though? Unless they are really that desperate for a paycheck your agent would have to be doing an appalling job not to warn them of the shambles behind the scenes - it's not exactly a secret and it's got significantly worse in the last 18 months.

We were linked with BTA and Bamford who you didn't want. Dennis could be that player and we can ONLY judged the end of the season, I'm sure if we don't make the playoffs you were be at the front of the queue telling us all how you were right and I was wrong.

We were linked to many players but nothing came of them, as per usual.

As for judging success or otherwise, you wrote that you'd only make that judgement on the transfer window once the window closed.

Now you've put it back to the end of the season!

We can only judge things when the damage is done according to you.

I can’t think of a more damning indictment of modern day BRFC, than our manager deciding 22nd placed Derby are a better bet than 7th placed Rovers with 3 months of the season left. In many ways I would be amazed if Eustace decided to go now, but it would be a hell of an indicator that he truly doesn’t believe we can stay in the race. Even if we slid down to mid table mediocrity in the coming months I’d still expect 75% of champ clubs to at least have him on a shortlist in the summer.  This really is a free hit for him. If he’s decided that a relegation battle is favourable then god knows what really is going on behind the scenes at our club.

Parade of tossers at the club coming out with "venkys never refuse to sign a cheque but what do fans want - a good manager or the electric bill paid for the rest of the season? Get real."

Our club is finished until Venkys go.

There is, and we will see that when we are in League 1 in the summer of 2026.

But whilst 6th in the Championship? There will be plenty of decent managers interested.

I think things have changed a bit since Eustace joined. The key difference is the court case has hugely reduced investment is now completely evident. JDT came before that kicked off, and I think Eustace may have understood the court case would be cleared up in the summer when he joined.

I think decent managers will be a lot more wary now after (if Eustace does go) 2 managers walking out due to lack of investment and lack of leadership at the club.
