Nobody is saying he didn't get dealt a bad hand by Venkys. In fact, we all knew that is what would happen eventually. But, again, that has happened, he is disgruntled and understandably so. However, that doesn't mean, he should just quit on the players and fans. The same players and fans, that's stood behind him, to get the team into a position where they can possibly dream of the playoffs. If you feel that you don't want to see this through, then I'm afraid it's a poor showing from JE.

Is it too much to ask a manager being paid £1 million a year or thereabouts to buy a home and live in the area? Families move around all the time in other walks of life so why should football be any different?

It's on record that Eustace put his name in the hat for the Coventry and West Brom jobs. This time Derby are offering him a job. He wants to go. Today was his last game it seems to me

In football you have to act when an opportunity presents itself. Look at us in January - golden opportunity to act, did FA until deadline day and it will cost us the playoffs and our manager.

He's got a solid opportunity to get out of here and work at a professional club that he knows from working there previously. That chance might not come along again.

Besides football and pro sport, the average employee gets opportunities to move abroad, move to other cities for a better opportunity.. it's just a poor excuse

Eustace has already spoken to Derby and got assurances about the transfer window in the summer.

All of this is nonsense about the owners, he already knows that he is going. This is a way to save face with the fans and ensure we focus on them and not Eustace. 

He is gone already, unless something drastic happens with Derby.

Hate the owners but to leave with 15 games left is so poor.

Hmm.... 

The issue is though, he's brought some self-respect and sense of identity back to the team, and somehow managed to knit together a disparate rag bag of players into a reasonably cohesive unit. Not many other managers we've endured recently have been anywhere near that, and most have had a much better deal in terms of money being spent.

If he does go, I think he will be a success wherever he goes, Derby or anyhwere else, as he clealry has the management and leadership skills and capabilties needed to make a real difference - and that will be really difficult to replace.

I think it’s fair to see why he’s going and perhaps off field promises that have been ignored.

I think it’s also fair to be disappointed with Eustace for jumping ship.

I agree and fully understand his complete frustration and therefore, don’t blame him at all. Equally, I can’t help feeling sorry for his players and our fans and the fact that he is bailing out on us given all the talk of togetherness and loyalty.

And again, him leaving because of Venkys, is something nobody is shocked about. I have no idea, how many times I have to repeat the same thing to you, as to why him leaving the players and fans hanging mid season, isn't an issue to you and a few others. If he was hellbent on leaving because of assurances not being met, why did he not quit already, before the Derby offer came in. If he was a man of moral standings, and one that would not allow liars in his life, then he should have walked away from it.

And the annual review of our inevitable finish well outside the top 6 when it will be put down to Eustace's refusal to change formation and sign player x in January as to why we stumbled down the table.

So on that basis, anyone who has ever stayed in a job with undesirable working conditions until a perceivably “better” opportunity comes along is not - in your view - “a man of moral standings”?

We don't need a manager... We can be the first club, that has a managerless team. Players pick themselves in the starting 11, with a game rock, paper, scissors

I disagree completely. This is all on the owners. We’ve had this now with countless managers. They are the common theme. 
 

If a decent job came along in the industry you worked in, allowing you to flourish in your role, whilst working at a company that wasn’t appreciative of your skill set, you’d be off like a flash. We all would.
