Eustace…GONE

If Eustace wants out, fuck him, off you jog.  Give Rob Edwards the opportunity to have a tip at play-offs instead.

One door closes, another one opens- imagine how much it would sting watching another manager celebrate in an unlikely play-off final, whilst Derby are relegated..

I think we've brought in some quality players that could see us eek into those play-offs under strong positive stewardship. If his hearts not in it he needs moving on asap.

Im completely taken aback by that post and not in a good way.

He’s already gone…

When he took the job, he was promised the Maguire money if he kept us up, and then they reneged. To the point he offered his resignation more than once in the summer. They managed to talk him round and the signing of Cantwell probably helped.

Then he gets us into 5th in January and we take the piss again. They could offer him £20m in the summer and he wouldn’t believe them. Trust completely broken down.

Maguire money? How much was that?

Plans in place.

How about having plans in place to retain the manager that has them sat in the playoffs in February? Beggars belief.

Interesting how they're always in place to replace a manager in minutes but it takes months or even years to replace players.

I think we need to calm down a little on the who ha. I would absolutely love for Eustace to stay and at the same time there is a mix reports about Eustace going. Where I listen to the interview he said he was happy, that he has had support and that he wants to discuss with the club to see what the future bring. If he goes, it would be a shame but he seems like he is a loyal guy. He has the chance to get to the premier league this year. Family or not that is something very hard to walk away from.

We desperately need a Trust of some sort to step up and give the people answers, maybe a trust that's managed to meet Pasha recently? Maybe a trust that's meant to be a "critical friend"

Oh wait.

They've literally gone missing.

Last heard of blowing smoke up Gestede’s arse, because he uttered some crass, predictable soundbites about wanting to communicate with the fans.

When was the last time Gestede said anything? I don't really remember seeing anything since the summer.

The issue is the ownership imo. However, they're going nowhere. We are in a very decent position. Someone like Edwards, Warnock et.al, might just be able to pull off a miracle..  Venkys out!

You have spectacularly missed the point with your 'jog on' post. Eustace is simply a pawn in the game.

He's not selfishly leaving for money, or a better opportunity. He's leaving for decency, honesty and transparency. He's protecting his own sanity and professional reputation. Plus he's going somewhere he is really wanted, knows he will be supported financially and emotionally and as an added benefit he is also closer to home.

Your Rob Edwards suggestion is a tad weird as well. He's had Luton marooned at the bottom of the Championship all year, even though the club were amongst the favourites and flush with money. That takes some doing. Reminiscent of the Rovers when we were relegated.

So is the word on the ground, that this will actually happen? For all the broken promises and the fact Venkys, Maggot etc are vermin, he's still trading a playoff team for a relegation zone. He might keep derby up, he might not. Then you're in league 1.

Why not just wait until the summer and either the miracle has happened and he js a prem manager with Rovers or itll be the usual championship merry go round and have your pick of clubs?

Sorry, I really like Eustace. This situation stings and I don't want him to go.. It's painful seeing what the club has been reduced to..  Had a tough week and this is the cherry.  If JE decides to leave I can't blame him. Quality manager and comes across a nice chap..

Dolan liking this. He can fuck off, lad thinks he’s a world beater and needs to realise he’s lucky to play for Blackburn Rovers.

Tbf, Dolan following JE to a League 1 relegated Derby would be his dream move.

He may even stand a shot of outpacing the odd defender at that level.

........... because the offer is on the table now, not at the end of the season, and he wants it.

Can we include Dolan in the deal? Two conkers and a dead frog would be a fair swap

Runs deeper than transfers too. Most of the staff haven’t had a pay rise in years. The players aren’t getting new contracts, the club lacks class. It’s not conducive with Eustace.

Trust completely broken down.

Hang on, you spent all of January maintaining it didnt matter when players  came in as long as we got the "right" ones by the end.

You then took me to task for complaining about the activity towards the end of the window and tried to make out we'd had a decent window immediately after it finished.

You're flip flopping more often than chaddy!

How about trying to keep Eustace and offer him a new contract and re-sign Travis, Tronstad, Brittain and Hyam to new long term contracts.

Then in the spend some money and bring in some quality new signings on long term deals. FFS.

I'm interested what these plans are and did Rovers suspect Eustace would leave before end of the season. Also who's plans are they? Gestede? Owen? Or Suhail/Waggott?

John Eustace has decided he’s had enough at Ewood and will leave Rovers at the first opportunity.

There are many reasons why he has become disenchanted with the club.

The lack of signings this window is one frustration but it is a symptom of what he sees as the main problem, which is the complete lack of any communication with the owners and the resultant absence of decision making at the club.

Not unreasonably he wants to know what are the  owners plans for the future and their vision for the years ahead. His requests for information have met stonewalling from the Ewood hierarchy and his own attempts to contact the owners have not been successful.

In short, he sees no future for the club as it stands and as an ambitious manager he does see a future for himself either. He wants to leave.

He has applied for several jobs in recent weeks, including West Brom and Coventry, and he will be applying for any appealing vacancy at this level that arises.  So he could be gone in weeks, or it might be months, but his days at the club are numbered.

This information came from senior sources within the club.

So this information, which came from senior sources within the club, were correct. This means that this has been "boiling" for atleast a few weeks.
