Morning all ,I made the mistake of reading comments from happy clappers on a forum ,anyho  one fan said basically how shite the venkyscum are and how they'd destroyed the club and sold off  Brockholes to which one replied that this wasn't true and brockhall  was owned by the club again .Anyone know if there is any truth in it?

Jackson did this article in December, but it does involve taking Waggotts word for it (just for reference Waggott was still stating that Venkys could send funds during the January window in the same piece, so believe what you will) that it will be done, not that it had been done at that point in time.  There may of course be a more recent update that I may have missed

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/24801938.waggott-confirms-blackburn-rovers-plans-transfer-window/

Steve Waggott confirmed plans for the Senior Training Centre to be transferred back to club ownership. Venky's London Limited 2, a sister account of the owners, bought the training ground before the loophole was closed to aid Profit and Sustainability rules.

All loans on that transfer have been paid off though rent is being paid by the club to VLL for the use. But the aim is 'to bring the STC back into club ownership as soon as possible and at an appropriate future juncture'.

Mate take him.

What we ALL need to remember is the youngsters will oneday be the fanbase of this club.

Whilst we know how shit it is, it's the best thing ever for kids watching Rovers even if it's not a full ground and the singing is minimal they've got to enjoy it for what it is. I'm goin to continue taking my daughter she's obsessed got to keep bringing the next generations through regardless of the situation right now

Yeah you're right mate, I guess I'm just overcome with doom and gloom at the minute!

And I believe Eustace simply decided that enough is enough around January 25th (as per @jim mk2 's opening post in this thread), and told his agent to let other Championship clubs know that he's willing to listen to any offers that comes his way. Hence why Derby knew about the release-clause and has (probably) already agreed on contract length and wages before making an official approach to Rovers.

Despite that, he was still willing to listen to the club one last time and let them explain what their future plans are, if they could provide any sort of guarantees regarding renewal of contracts & transfer budget and whether they were willing to reward him for the team's progress this season. He has been screaming for reinforcements throughout the entire January window and they didn't do anything until the very last minute when they spent a rather meagre sum of one million. And today they refused his requests yet again, which basically left him with no other choice but to leave. Trust me, this isn't primarily about a pay-raise, it's about ambition, proper communication with the owners, and getting backed when needed. He's just sick of all the lies and being let down over and over again. They have failed him, the team and the fans during this window when injuries started piling up and the team were forced to have youngsters on the bench (who were nowhere near ready for senior football).

They have failed in their ownership since day one and that will not change until they leave.

Summed up perfectly 👏 We simply have to somehow force the owners out of our club.

Another great article by Elliott Jackson and outlining the problems behind the scenes in recruitment and the lack of communication in the club, etc.

Eustace did want a proven striker like Thomas-Asante, Bamford or McBurnie. So McBurnie was a target despite saying he wasn't publicly. see RF99.

Also wanted Dembele but others on the committee vetoed that transfer target.

As Elliott says in the article that when the first cracks started, then add that he didn't know people like Stuart Jones was leaving before being asked then factoring in other things and the lack of communication within the club.

what a mess, Rovers have yesterday the opportunity to committed to him by given him a new contract and assurances he wanted. Yet again, nothing from them What a sad day and mess it is.

Firstly before anyone reads further, Im gutted hes gone, hes done a great job, it feels like a punch to the stomach. I hate venkys and I hate Waggot.

BUT, that being said, do 99% of clubs now not have someone that purchases players and the manager deals with what comes through the door? I know he didnt get the players he requested but Im not sure it works like that these days, anywhere. They've done it all on a shoe string yes, but they've actually bought in players for as close as he described as to what was needed on a shoe string budget. I cant get over the fact hes snaking around for other clubs and trying to use it as a bargaining tool at this point of the season. I think you see the season out then leave, his togetherness and no excuses motto is a bit of  2 fingers to everyone IMO. I FIRMLY lay the blame obviously on waggot suhail and venkys even more, this is a 15 year problem, BUT eustace should be doing this in the summer IMO, the fact hes asked himself for a new deal NOW is the odd bit. Where I a million percent point the finger at venkys and the crooks, I also am not letting Eustace off the hook here with this one at the same time. You deal with this after these 16 games are done or you deal with is when the playoffs are no more. I think if he signed the players he wanted he wouldn't of thrown his toys out the pram, he might even of found himself at a better proposition than derby county....

Yes players 1 million percent should of been in the door at the start of jan, but at the end of the day were 6th, and they have bought in attackers with pace. Whether they are up to the standard is yet to be seen, on paper they aren't but you have to see how the season pans out, surely thats what the people that are in charge of signing players are paid to do. The cronies behind the scenes are killing us, but I would say its a collective let down on all fronts within the club, and Il add Eustace to that.

Absolutely not true.

Waggott has been broaching the subject of bringing it back under club ownership, but that will depend on 2 things.

1. The EFL compliance people allowing it

2. Venky’s doing the right thing

I agree with nearly all of that. As I said earlier, yesterday’s meeting was just a PR exercise. He’d already made his mind up to go over the weekend. He knew that the people sat across the desk from him would be unable or unwilling to give him what he was asking for. He made them an offer they were always going to refuse. He’d been at Rovers long enough to know that. I’ve been on the planet long enough to know when I’m being played.

Reading between the lines he’d decided to move on in summer and he was just waiting for the right opportunity to come up. That’s why his name was constantly in the frame when vacancies arose.

None of the above excuses the chicken chokers and their underlings from most of the blame. Who can work for absentee owners and not lose the plot in the end!

Thanks for the Leeds and Leicester games. They’ll live long in the memory.

Reading that you do wonder how much the appointment of someone with no pedigree for the role he's in (Gestede - he came on work experience..!!! so mad) and the sidelining of experienced heads like John Park is really the fundamental issue alongside the lack of a long term plan and communication with the owners.

There's nothing more likely to drive someone out the door than working with people you don't believe have the right capability.

In terms of next manager I personally think it will be either Damian Johnson or maybe a punt on Duffer. It's pretty much a free hit as we can't get relegated, and I doubt anyone really believes we will finish top six. I don't think Waggott and Gestede will be able or want to persuade a robust character like Edwards to join. They'll want the easy option so they can regroup in the summer.

Travis and Tronstad to Derby in the summer. Watch this space!

I suspect he'll raid as many soon to be out of contract players as he can. Obviously my estimations of those players will nosedive spectacularly as well but hey, that's football, right?

Can't blame them if they go when we can't even offer most of our players new contracts.

Reading the article from Elliot Jackson it seems like there has been some toxicity behind the scenes since the summer. I trust his words more than the propaganda from the club and toads like Nixon.

If Eustace really has been putting his name out for every job going (including Preston?!?) then he needs to take some responsibility as well. Neither the club nor him now coming out of this looking particularly good.

No I agree, but I won't be able to help feeling bad of them for basically ditching us to form basically the same fucking team we have here, under the same manager.
