Eustace…GONE

Recommended Posts

Ok I’m not a ITK but I have some info.

It is confirmed from a family member of Eustace that he is not happy at not being backed in the transfer market, the club and owners.

he will be going sadly 😞

from my neck of the woods is Eustace so I have some links.

Again I’m definitely not ITK!

I mean, they will have to discuss compensation and Waggot / Suhail / Venkys have to agree to it. With our internal communication and politics we know this could drag on (like Rhodes leaving).

We also know the logic of "you can't keep an unhappy manager" doesn't apply as they kept JDT for 7 months after he wanted to quit.

I'd be a bit sceptical of Eustace going into Derby and trying to utilise last seasons negative, defend at all costs tactics. Ultimately it was only Szmodics hitting unlikely winners at Leeds and Leicester that kept us up.

Honestly I'd be desperate for Derby to go down if he left us for them.

He'll have a massive, massive job on his hands too - the teams above them all strengthened in the January window.

Let’s hope he states that then and does not beat about the bush.

You are the literal definition of ITK based on what you just posted.

Well I meant I have never had any info before and doubt I will again.

derby have given him assurances of being backed, that’s key.

Wouldn't be surprised if Venkys dont have a clue what is going on with the manager (which would be indicative of how little interest they have in the club).

Suhail will tell them he's brought in about £750k, or whatever the figure is, and has spent a fraction. Venkys will be delighted as it's another sign of the club being self sufficient, perhaps he pockets a percentage of the saving. Waggott goes along with it, getting most of the flack, in trade for the cushty pay.

Let's move on. Who's realistically available, affordable and naive/desperate enough for us to bring in?

But chaddy said he’s been backed? I don’t know who to believe anymore.

Once he goes I'm done with this club until those Indian rats are removed.

That's why I didn't renew my long standing Season Ticket. The only way to get the message across is to hit them where it hurts i.e. withdraw support/funds and thus hit them hard!

I still cant get my head round a team that theoretically has a very decent chance of being involved in the play offs just sitting back and allowing a team in 22nd to come in and poach their manager without so much as a murmur of dissent.

I mean it has to be absolutely unprecedented in recent times doesnt it, can anyone think of any similar examples?

Just when you think we couldnt plumb the depths under this regime any further something else crops up.

Unsuccessfully attempting to flog Brockhall

O Brien and Brierley - sabotaging the paperwork and sending it in late

Mcguire deal pulled mid Atlantic- -far less favourable loan deal agreed - "forgetting" to press send

A window where we've signed six players none of whom are fully match fit

And now this

As for Eustace himelf if he does want to leave, I wouldnt blame him for one minute but ge shouldnt be involved today. Put Johnson in charge.

Im approaching my patience threshold with these B'stards running our Club into the Ground.

Enough is enough, simply cant take much more of this Bollox.

Being made to look a laughing stock, never known anything like this in my time supporting this Club.

The Trust are more likely to get on their knees and kiss Waggot’s ball sack at today’s game praising him for finding more money to keep lights on for a few more days.

As much as I hate Waggott it's crystal clear that there's no money coming into the club from the owners.

If I had to guess I'd say they haven't provided any guarantees that they'll ever put money in again - which is why contracts are being run down / are so short term.

I can't see anything but this all coming to a head in 12-18 months time when all of the money runs out and we can't pay our creditors.

Eustace's impending departure also sends a terrible message to the better Rovers players - why should they bother playing for a club that seemingly has no ambition and is so badly run the manger is happy to leave for a club in the relegation zone!

As has been noted it must be unprecedented for a club in 6th to lose its manager to a club in the bottom 3. But maybe the rest of football probably sees it as a good move, as Derby are potentially a much bigger club with crowds twice the size of those at Ewood.

It might not take that long.

Doesn’t seem to be working, maybe all the fans who refuse to attend get together and protest outside the stadium whilst a game is being played. We need to start making some noise.

I saw somebody mention Big Sam earlier; this would be a best case scenario for me.

Showed an interest last time around and was even prepared to take the Bolton job when that came up, so he's itching to jump back in.

I couldn't give the slightest shit about how attractive our play is, it's all about results.

I'd be confident of the top 6 if Big Sam came back.

No way are Venky's going to suck that one up.

I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a little disappointed with Eustace given how this is playing out.

I have the utmost sympathy for him given how diabolical out management/owners are, but he's still a leader of men and its hard not to feel he's leaving them mid fight right now.

His is the minor role in all of this of course. But it still doesn't feel right.
