That really puts the ball in Venky's court.

Get the contracts sorted and what's the budget for the summer?

Or good bye and good luck because the fans know you have done the dirty...

This sounds a bit more hopeful. Sounds like he's seeking assurances.

Is he calling it that he needs to speak to the owners about their ambition for the club or he's off? Really hopeful of this as surely he's got to think staying here and getting play offs is a better look on his CV.

Or does he know full well he's only speaking to that rat Pasha and never speaking to the chief cunts and so when it doesn't happen he leaves?

I still cant get my head round a team that theoretically has a very decent chance of being involved in the play offs just sitting back and allowing a team in 22nd to come in and poach their manager without so much as a murmur of dissent.

I mean it has to be absolutely unprecedented in recent times doesnt it, can anyone think of any similar examples?

Just when you think we couldnt plumb the depths under this regime any further something else crops up.

Unsuccessfully attempting to flog Brockhall

O Brien and Brierley - sabotaging the paperwork and sending it in late

Mcguire deal pulled mid Atlantic- -far less favourable loan deal agreed - "forgetting" to press send

A window where we've signed six players none of whom are fully match fit

And now this

As for Eustace himelf if he does want to leave, I wouldnt blame him for one minute but he shouldnt be involved today. Put Johnson in charge.

I'm sure when the dust settles there will still be people comparing it to the 70s and 80s when someone left to join someone else in a bid to try and normalise what is happening at Ewood under the filth.

Time for the heat to be turned up on this absolute cretin! what’s his email address again? It’s like an endless remake of the neverending story

He's a symptom, not the cause.

Don't get me wrong he's a horrible, horrible man who should be nowhere near this club, but the owners have turned the taps off. If we were awash with money many of us wouldn't even know his name.

Derby have triggered the compensation clause in John Eustace’s contract (circa 500k) and are hopeful of talks soon. Eustace set to inform Blackburn of his desire to speak with Derby after official approach was made earlier today. As reported on Sat, Eustace is #1 target #dcfc

Excl: #dcfc are targeting John Eustace as new manager after the sacking of Paul Warne. Blackburn are expecting an official approach for Eustace, a former Derby midfielder. Also in this: analysis on Warne sacking & why Derby were left with no option. https://telegraph.co.uk/football/2025/02/08/derby-blackburn-john-eustace-championship-paul-warne/

To bargain for what?

Contracts to be sorted out presumably

Better budget

With all the players leaving in the summer and our better players Travis,Brittain,Tronstad etc will only have a year left so presumably the club will look to sell them before they leave on a free.

This is where I am a bit blurry on contract law - wouldn't he have to pay up his contract to Rovers out of his own pocket?

It won’t matter. Theres nothing to be gained by keeping a manager who wants to leave.

Imagine so. But he could receive a signing on fee from Derby which coincidentally covers this.
