Eustace…GONE

That's the guy I highlighted a few weeks ago who has consistently been saying he didnt want us putting the Club's future at risk by spending money during the January window and we'd avoided relegation for the season so he wanted us to develop the youngsters and build slowly and so on and so forth.

He sticks out like a sore thumb even in the sea of insanity that constitutes the LT comments section.

Very difficult to believe it's a genuine account. If he did actually  think its wrong for Jackson  to allege Eustace doesnt feel he's been supported, why would he be swapping a side in 6th for one in 22nd?

As I've mentioned previously the LT site wont allow me to register for some reason. It may be something Im doing wrong but it makes me a bit suspicious that the whole comments section is a scam. Could do with a few people going on there and giving this person and those like him some grief along the lines of asking them to name the last time something like this happened.

They could probably do with replacing "Rover" in the username with "Bell" ...

You are ridiculous

You follow the club line every single time.

No doubt if our new manager has a better start than Eustace does at Derby you will be happy this has happened.

You realise half our squad departs In the summer , and Travis, Brittain ,Tronstad ,Hyam will be out of contract summer after.

Beyond "making the top 6" (which doesn't guarantee promotion ) how on earth can you be positive for the future of the club?

how have I follow the club line when it was Eustace's comments I mentioned and posted on here!!

I have been more than clear, I wanted Eustace to stay and get the assurances he wants, so how the hell is that following the club line?

I have mentioned more than once the contracts situation of key players and the fact we should have already renewed them or in the process of doing so on here. How many more times do you want me to say it?  So how the hell is that following the club line?

No one has said that making top 6 is guaranteed promotion but its is far beyond what people expectations were before the season!

He's surely a Dingle I can't believe otherwise

is that the best you can say. Its pathetic me a dingle? 😂most insane and unwarranted comment I've seen on here against me. Exactly why I have you on ignored.

I am STH for over 25 years, was there yesterday and spent hundreds on Rovers merchandise each season. etc, etc.

So of course I am NOT a dingle!!! Just a diehard passionate Rovers fan who loved his club and will always do so.

Yeah but Leicester is closer to his home in Bournemouth 😂😉

Eddie Howe moved his family to Newcastle when he took that job. Other managers don't up root their family and keep their children in the same school.

In my mind, they deliberately keep us shit. Any sniff at improvement, they take away. I genuinely think they want to keep us as a loss making entity for some financial reason like Tax. If you make a loss you can offset a bunch of taxes that end up saving you money overall....especially if youre worth billions.

I’m gonna have to keep posting this every hour or so aren’t I?

When googling Sutton Coldfield , the distance to Derby comes up as one of the top search results 😂

That’ll be me 😆

I used to live in Sutton Coldfield & worked in Derby - I’ve been telling lots of people how easy the commute is 😆

It really was a joke but also a veiled criticism of anybody who believes that Eustace will leave to be closer to his family.

I think we're beyond the point of him staying now. He clearly wants to talk to Derby and his head has now been turned. He's unlikely to ever really be 100% committed to Rovers going forward.

The writing was on the wall as soon as he didn't shutdown the official approach after yesterday's game.

Why is he taking training?

The priority should be him speaking to the board, and either change his mind(won't happen) or allow him go speak to Derby and get on with our manager search

Waggott wont have finished his 2nd breakfast yet, so may as well let him take training 😉

so why is he taking training if he is off or even meeting the Rovers board?

Derby met his release clause so not a lot Rovers can do if there is a clause in the contract allowing to speak to others if that fee is match

From the Derby Forum. Nothing we haven't already speculated

My latest, my mate spoke to Eustace over the weekend so there's your source.

Blackburn want £750k compensation so that's the biggest stumbling block.

Eustace has six players on expiring contracts, not one of them has even a first draft on the table. Not his words but no surprise they're ducking out of 50:50 tackles as one bad injury and they are a free agent (obviously has some memories of George then)

He's been battling to get the players longer contracts and the players really appreciate him. He is an honest and supportive boss.

He has no say over transfers, in the last window they bought a load of players that were different to what he wanted. They now have 26 players (you are only allowed to register 25) so one has been told they have no place in the club this season.

Despite all of this, there is a great degree of loyalty to his team and players - memories of how he was treated at Birmingham I guess - so he's not ready to throw everyone under the bus at the first opportunity.

I really hope this works, he sounds like a top bloke to have managing

If Alex Neill hadn't taken Millwall they would have gone for him.

Not really important who the next manager is in the wider context, and whoever is chosen will also become unhappy after a small period of time but.....

Really don't want Lowe

And even tho he probably still being paid off Martin would be a disaster of an appointment.

I would be amazed if anyone in India even knows who Eustace is, let alone cares if he stays here or not

They might have a passing knowledge of who he is but Id imagine they dont realise the crucial importance of the manager/head coach to a football club.

Really, if you get the manager and the recruitment spot on there's not too much else to go wrong, the rest just falls into place.

However they probably think our manager is easily interchangeable and replaceable like one of the middle managers in their core businesses. This would seem to be supported by the fact that we now seem to be treating managers as trading assets like players and selling them for 500 -750 k a pop.

And I dont suppose Waggott or Pasha are lifting a finger to convince them of the folly of such an approach.
