I have been two seasons without my season ticket, in fact, two seasons since I last attended a match…all because of the fact that the club is rudderless and a shell without a future.. I miss it but, I will not financially back  anything remotely connected to our current regime.. were they to leave my returning support , and those of many friends , would be instant . 

I wonder just how low the numbers of those attending will go….every day there’s another nail. I yearn for the day when we’re free…..

I'm just growing tired of it all now. I'm gutted for my daughter who absolutely loves the Rovers, her first season ticket and loved every game winning or losing. 

I go for her and for the lads wearing the shirts and hope one day this nightmare will end and she can see how our fanbase will really turn out when we have the right owners

I just can not get me head around Venkies and what they are doing.  What do they want.  Why do they insist on staying.  Why do they not want a return to the top flight where the money troubles could be seriously minimuzed.  Has someone told em that we just can not afford the investment required, are they being mislead because our over paid CEO COO enjoy the relative anonymity so they can ride the gravy train till THEY are ready to retire.  Do they just not like VAR?  Something is really wrong, all the other clubs owners give blood to try to get to the cash cow that is the prem Venks folks prefer to take our boood.

Look at it from any viewpoint and you can see we, the fans, are the very last consideration in any of this until season ticket time.  What we want simply does not count.  Looks kike they actually get a rise out of pissing us off.

Id imagine they have an annual budget and that 95% of decisions which fall within the budget are made in house.

Similar. The matches are our real sanctuary from the plethora of other issues going on. It might go quiet for a while but as sure as eggs are eggs another stumbling block is never far away. 

And as long as these people are around nothing will change.

I have had a ST for over 40 years and I still go on, mainly out of a sense of duty and deemed obligation. I feel like if I don’t go, who the hell will and rather than the few thousand we have left, there will be virtually no one there and that then feels shameful, something as a town, to be embarrassed about. It hurts to be in a half empty stadium with away fans taking the piss out of support when I know that it once was different, with the stadium vibrant and the support loud and proud. Notwithstanding this, I would happily forego my ST and stay away from the club I love, if it could deliver the end of this horrendous Indian blight on our club. You're right, we are in a strong position now and were throughout December and January, much above the fans expectation as you say.

During which time, Eustace has been clear with what he wanted in Jan and clearly feels he didn't get. So they didn't deliver in the Summer and haven't delivered this Winter. 

It's not the point of being given the assurances, he has been given assurances by the hierarchy before. The point is, they never follow through with their assurances and renege on the regular.

If I was a local, I'd probably go to one or two games, but not buy a season ticket. I'd rather go to a pub and talk to the fans after the game than give money to a lost cause.

My understanding is that everything has to be signed off in India since the court case. Eustace was promised money in the summer and the owners renaged on this promise because of the financial uncertainty. Incoming transfer monies have been used elsewhere rather than what it was earmarked for. That was the first nail in the coffin.

Ok, thanks for that, I still cant see that they would be micromanaging every single decision from India but it seems fairly clear that in overall terms we're running an exceptionally tight financial ship.

We seem to be operating transfers on a one in one out basis, players going out on loan before another comes in etc, 20 k p.w. striker only coming in on loan at the last minute on the basis we ship out 17/18k p.w. Sigurdsson etc etc. 

Any promises made regarding funding havent been met to date and its difficult to see that changing no matter what is said.

Eustace wanted 2 or 3 quality signings but we need more with McFadz and Baker leaving. We signed 6 players but did he want to buy players instead loans. Or was over certain players targets he wanted. 

in the summer, he wanted certain players but the committee didn't agree.

Talk of his family being closer to Pride Park than Lancashire is a factor Eustace will have considered, but the thought of working for a club - and an owner - committed to backing their manager will be what is driving his thoughts right now, plus the fact that the Rams are a far bigger club than Rovers will ever be. For that reason, it is surely a matter of when, not if, Eustace takes over at Pride Park.

If it was WBA / Coventry etc he'd have said goodbye to the players this morning. He's using this as a bargaining chip - which will ultimately see him unveiled as the Derby boss by Wednesday.

Nothing will ever stop us being the cotton town that lived the dream.

No one will ever stop us closing our eyes and standing there with our dad's, grandads etc and being whisked off to another time.

And no one should ever stop us from wanting it all again. Time to act in whatever capacity possible

In the summer, he wanted to spend some money, but they didn't agree to that. That's what it boils down to. That's the reason he offered his resignation in the summer and it's why he's off now.

How do you get 50% of a squad to run through brick walls for you, when the likelihood is they're not playing for you next season?

No money spent, no long term thinking, no signs of progression from the hierarchy.

Derby County literally wouldn't exist after 15 years of Venky rule.

The fact we get 14k+ fans at every home game and are sitting in mid-table in the Championship after their years of mismanagement and neglect clearly demonstrates that we're a far bigger club than they could ever dream to be.
