Eustace…GONE

We’ve been an absolute joke of a club for years now, but I’m a little apprehensive on how we look to the outside footballing world now.

On a positive note, this could highlight the shocking way the club is run and put Waggott and Venkys under proper scrutiny and finally force them to piss off.

Negatively though, with so many players here on loan and contracts running down, I dread to think what our squad will look like next season. Attracting players here is hard enough with no budget, but today is just another example of the Blackburn shitshow.

Brittain & Travis surely the next ones out to keep the lights on.

Cant see any of the out of contract players signing new deals.

Wonder if a few of them will end up playing for Eustace in a season or two.

Radio Lancs torn up the running order and apparently gonna focus on Rovers tonight, wonder how critical they're gonna be of the hierarchy... not very I don't think...

If they are interested in representing the views of the Rovers fan base, they best not hold any prisoners and go straight for the Venky / Pasha throat.

My feeling is that the approach by Derby is a while in the making. They suss out, via his agent, that Eustace would be very interested, find out the release clause details and how much of wage he wants. Then sack Paul Warne and within minutes the wheels are in motion to set up the appointment of him. Eustace is fed up of commuting, can’t stand Waggot and Suhail, and makes his mind very quickly to move. Next stage is yesterday’s semi cryptic interviews, a quick bye bye to the players this morning and, “how’s your father?”, it’s off to Derby at lunchtime. No matters of principle, just the usual baloney, and off you pop.

We could all tell the shit show when you ship out Sigurdsson as nr 26 in the squad....not sure that was on Eustace.... they wanted to trim the bill on Sigurdsson getting a move when fit in February... a fit Siggy would help us reach the play offs.

But he isn’t off the wage bill, still at least a month from being fit.

The players will know that Eustace was trying to get some movement on their future contracts for Waggot & Co. , and that he’s been snubbed.
I bet Waggot and Gestede don’t wheel any of them out infront of fan groups for a bizarre meeting again this week.

Trawling Facebook there is the odd happy clapper having a go at JE but on the whole people are pissed at the club. Atleast this could be a turning point for a portion of the fan base.

I think, even for them, they’ve massively miscalculated that statement.

I hope @K-Hod is preparing to tear them a new one at the fan’s forum meeting (should it go ahead)

John Eustace has decided he’s had enough at Ewood and will leave Rovers at the first opportunity.

There are many reasons why he has become disenchanted with the club.

The lack of signings this window is one frustration but it is a symptom of what he sees as the main problem, which is the complete lack of any communication with the owners and the resultant absence of decision making at the club.

Not unreasonably he wants to know what are the  owners plans for the future and their vision for the years ahead. His requests for information have met stonewalling from the Ewood hierarchy and his own attempts to contact the owners have not been successful.

In short, he sees no future for the club as it stands and as an ambitious manager he does see a future for himself either. He wants to leave.

He has applied for several jobs in recent weeks, including West Brom and Coventry, and he will be applying for any appealing vacancy at this level that arises.  So he could be gone in weeks, or it might be months, but his days at the club are numbered.

This information came from senior sources within the club.

His source was right....two weeks ago...

So you agree it isn't significant investment but also disagree with my usage of Sanderson as an example?

Correct. It'd be like saying Burnley didn't invest as they signed Shelvey on a free transfer after he was released from one of the smaller Turkish clubs.
