Eustace…GONE

I think the next man in has a good foundation to build on. Eustace has his limitations and hopefully Gestede has done his homework and we’re prepared for this scenario.

Disappointing outcome but managers come and go. Travis rightfully fuming, I hope him and the group can turn this into a positive and absolutely smash WBA come Wednesday.

What has Travis said?

Trawling Facebook there is the odd happy clapper having a go at JE but on the whole people are pissed at the club. Atleast this could be a turning point for a portion of the fan base.

There's more than the odd one where I've been looking, looks nearly 50/50 tbh. And not seeing anyone who has said this has changed their mind. I suspect all that's happening is the people who have been sick of it all for a while are being more vocal than usual, and some of the people who are slaves to this suffering are just keeping schtum, as really they know this is awful but don't want to call the club out. But some of them are still giving it ten about this being JE's fault.

Emotions running high tonight, fuck me that statement from the board shouts small time club. Not announced as I still see but fully expect Eustace to depart, wish he would at least give us until the end of the season. On that part I hope Derby go down, zero respect for them after they officially approached us hours before the game yesterday. Rovers fans deserve better, VENKYS FUCK OFF!

Like him or loathe him. I guarantee Dolan signs for Derby for free in the summer.

Eustace will do it to prove a point.

Should get the players tied down.

I'll point it out yet again, if Dolan goes to Derby it won't be for free. Signing for any English club will trigger compensation for us, set by tribunal. Which I'd guess will be in the region of 1-2 million.

But this really isn't the priority right now.

Strangely, I don't really care who we appoint now, it doesn't really mean anything this season. The damage has already been done in January and I don't think Klopp could come back to English football and get this squad into the top six, it's paper thin, lightweight and ultimately despite all the commendable effort just won't be good enough.

Eustace wasn't going to get us in there and whoever comes in won't either. It's down to poor recruitment and culture.

The club is just rotten.

Count me as a happy clapper. He knew what he signed up to, JDT made that clear enough.

He has let the team and fans down.

Who would pay that for Dolan?

Trying to look from a different perspective here and it's difficult but...

Maybe what Eustace asked for is not realistic in the current climate. All back on Venkys as it always is but if the club can't commit to his requests then there really was no choice if his head had been turned.

Another aspect for me...no club can invest now so why not see it out. If we inevitably drop away he's still over achieved and stock is still high. Next season there will be opportunities to return to the midlands. If he did achieve the impossible of which so far he's managed, then his stock would be even higher, maybe even with a promotion to his CV.

I get he's pissed, as we all are but I still think the timing is a little odd.

Of course on the inside of it all, if he has been misled, lied to etc. then no one wants to work for people like that.

Club isn't interested in promotion. The desire for investment despite the opportunity before us will be knocked back because we are overachieving. It was never in the script. Why is Rudy and Swag not coming out all season praising the work of a manager and players defying the odds?

In summary, Eustace wanted backing, Swag couldn't/wouldn't and he'll be gone before the day is out.

Don't want it but as my Google feed has picked up a story on Wayne Rooney at the top of the page, I'm fearing it is more than a coincidence...

Watch this space...

So he stays at Rovers. Cooper comes in at Derby and does a good job. The Derby job is filled for the foreseeable. The job was offered to him now.

That club statement makes my blood boil. A slap in the face to Eustace, the playing squad and the entire fanbase. Significant investment! Fuck off. Just proves Eustace was right to leave.

Managers don't really have the luxury of waiting for the perfect time to move to another club. They have to take them when the jobs available.
