Eustace…GONE

Someone posted earlier today (can't remember who) that Travis apparently refused a meeting with JE this morning.

👀👀 if that's true then it lends far more credence to the talk about Eustace's team liking to put his name about on the sniff for better money.

It's always about the money. He's been offered more at Derby. With that knowledge he tried to negotiate an improved contract. We said no. So he's off to earn more money.

Cynical view and amid the chaos I hadn’t thought of it but you could have hit on the truth. Eustace is likely to have been offered a big pay rise and that more than his grievances will have swayed his decision. Managers are no different to players - they’re out for maximum financial gain and they want success but at the end of the day money talks

Fk him, just another in a long list of wankers that think the grass will be greener on the other side.

We've lost far better managers and players to "ambition" they rarely meet those ambitions once leaving here though.

My money says he won't last 12 months at derby.

He's not gone to Derby because he played 60 games for them. He's not gone because he is an hour closer to home. He's not gone because they will include him in weekly meetings with the owners. He's not gone because he's got a transfer war chest. Hes not gone for 25k fans at home. He's not gone for a better league position. He's not gone for the clubs, 3rd from bottom, lose 7 on the bounce revised vision.

So don't preach loyalty, honesty, family, togetherness, team spirit and harmony for twelve twatting months when it's all about the dough. We are grown ups. We also need money. Just tell the fucking truth and go and earn your coin.

He's doesn't give a fuck about Derby. He doesn't give a fuck about Rovers. He's gone to grab a bag.

And now, instead of all the fucking useless names of out of work nobodies and chancers being mentioned on here why don't we head hunt fifteen league places above us?

Or get Souness or Allardyce in for four months to put the fear of God into our opposition, rivals and players?

Well we all know why. Because, whilst at long last we have proper professional men representing our efforts on the pitch, we have a bunch of snivelling wankers representing our efforts off the pitch. Genuine fucking self absorbed low life.

Not one of them comes out of this with any credit. Spent a lot of time away from family John? I thought you were better than that. You knew where fucking Blackburn was twelve months ago. Nowt to do with an extra 20k a month is it pal?

Make Travis player manager. Turn a negative into a positive. Unite the players. Unify the fans. Rock the football pyramid. Them against us. If we are going to fail let's fail with one of our own in charge.

But no. We are too thick to turn a problem into an opportunity. Ryan fucking Lowe? Rob twatting Edwards? Steve fucking Cooper? Give me fucking strength.

he`s gone because derby are a better long term proposition, rovers are run by a bunch of spivs, thieves and incompetents,i doubt very much he`ll be on much more money at derby, they ar`nt exactly big hitters

so why is he taking training if he is off or even meeting the Rovers board?

Derby met his release clause so not a lot Rovers can do if there is a clause in the contract allowing to speak to others if that fee is match

Not noew obviously but they could have supported him in the transfer market when he needed it.

I was in the 95 club yesterday

Kevin Gallagher said something along the lines of 'i believe JE has unfinished business at rovers but if he's been offered more money at another club he'll be off ...just like players do'

I wouldn’t be surprised if he was on a good bonus for keeping them up though.

The grass is greener compared to here. Rovers are field of steaming turd compared to 99 percent of clubs

Bring in a good manager on a 6 month deal and make the next few months exciting..

We've got plenty of pace, Carter and Trondstadt hopefully back soon..

I'd piss myself if went up and Derby went down..

In saying that, bring in a drab poor manager and we could could still get sucked into the quagmire- it's not inconceivable..

Let’s remember @jim mk2 opening post on this thread which I’ve quoted above. Read it again. Exceedingly accurate, with the communication part tying in with JE calling for speaking to the owners yesterday.

At the time no Derby position vacant. No release clause matched. Nothing to do with money. He’d had enough.

Will definitely have something to do with Money, or he’d stick it out til the summer or a better offer. He’s everything to lose in this move and on the face of it not much to gain. So what’s the kicker? Money talks.

Not for one second saying that all the other stuff is bullshit or the club and owners aren’t a shit show.

As football fans we are a resilient bunch. The ups and downs are part and parcel of following the club we love, but we all have a tipping point.

The owners and board know this, ‘They’ll support the club whatever shit we put them through” is the assumption.

This post struck a cord with me, not a regular poster, but you can feel the anger and frustration that many of us are feeling right now.

Great post @LWX

VENKYS OUT - NOTHING ELSE MATTERS

Cheers mate, I appreciate it! 🙏

I wouldn't say fk him, he's got Rovers higher than anyone expected this season so he leaves with my thanks.

But I'm waaaaay past the point where I pine for anyone who leaves or is sacked.

As far as I'm concerned, it's all about Rovers, and anyone who wants to leave isn't worth a second thought.

Thanks for confirming. Kevin stating stating the obvious that’s flown over the head of the downvoter. Folk questioned why Bryan Kidd left as United. No 2 to become Rovers manger and Kidd admitted it was for the money

He never applied for West Brom or Coventry jobs, so no it wasn’t.

It is interesting to observe Nixon now a fully signed up member of the Waggott propaganda machine. Last week he was lavishing praise on the Rovers 'supremo' for pulling off a masterstroke in waiting until 11pm on deadline day to get Dennis at 'only' £20k a week contribution from Rovers, suggesting this was some brilliant piece of negotiating skill and ignoring the 5 fixtures in January that we lost whilst this game was being played.

Now in his latest piece he's carefully constructing a pro-Waggott and anti-Eustace narrative:

  • Claiming that Eustace has been keen on other jobs as has been a 'habit' during his career so far - implying that he was always going to look elsewhere regardless of Rovers' approach to things
  • Blackburn are 'strange' behind the scenes - that's one word for it - I'm sure there are plenty far more accurate
  • Eustace likes 'older players' and showed that by 'hardly using some talented ones on loan when he arrived' - I'm not sure what he is getting at here, presumably a reluctance to rely on kids and loanees when fighting relegation last season - but of course this is to be taken as a negative
  • 'In the end he got many he wanted.....but still he complained' - Eustace being unreasonable then
  • 'The January window brought SIX signings and many came in the right age group' - again the number and age of the signings largely irrelevant compared to the quality, timing and short term nature of them all yet the 'SIX' used just like Waggott has in the club statement to convince people Eustace has been well backed.
  • 'So when Derby arrived one insider said 'There is a lot of relief around here' - implying that there is an unhappy camp and his departure will be welcomed at Brockhall.
  • 'Steve Waggott picked Eustace in a hurry last time and was one of his big allies in the end' - so a double dose of Waggott gets the credit for appointing Eustace to begin with and quick to ensure no suggestion he was in any way behind his departure

It's so blatant all I ask is what's in it for Nixon in return for his construction and distribution of such propaganda.

An exclusive on our new manager ?
