Eustace…GONE

And that's from the LET so it must be even worse than what Jackson is making out.

It's incredibly hard on the club by the LT standards.

It's like he's getting the nod from someone within the club to run these articles.

I suspect he'll raid as many soon to be out of contract players as he can. Obviously my estimations of those players will nosedive spectacularly as well but hey, that's football, right?

Over my time supporting the Rovers I have often worried about departing managers taking our best players with them. I have no worries on this occasion, because we have no best players.

After the board statement yesterday I don't think there's any possible way back. That was a "don't let the door hit you in the arse" if I ever saw one.

One of the most amateurish statements I've ever seen from this lot, and I mean we have seen some stupid stuff from whoever runs this club

You say that but look what had happened to performances without Travis and Tronstad. Brittain is in the running for player of the season, JRC barely looks to be in any sort of running when he's at right back.

Whether or not Eustace would want them at Derby is another matter.

They haven't said anything because they've embarassed themselves again and have no idea how to deal with it. This is up there with the shambolic O'Brien and McGuire episodes.

Suhail is currently trying to source a fresh pair of trousers whilst Waggott is rocking in the corner staring at his bank account.

Perhaps Jackson, like many of you, has finally come to the end of his tether and feels he just has to speak out. This is not a manager looking to better himself.  It's a guy so desperate to get out, he'll take the first club that actually decide they want him.  Me, I gave up many years ago but I still care. Just can't put myself through the rubbish coming out of the club week on week.

different clubs have different ways or different structures. Some head coaches have more of a say in recruitment then others.

Reading between the lines Eustace wants more of a say than ever and he wanted certain types. Also I think he was promised when being interview for the job more of a say in recruitment then he got.

Eustace wanted experienced Championship players in the summer and winter windows, yes he got some of his targets but others he didn't. He wanted Cooper but couldn't agree a deal, or Dembele who he wanted but others didn't want him. I think its clear that Eustace, Park, Owen and Gestede was never in line in terms of what we want, target markets, and who the targets should be. I think we seen a power struggle between Eustace and Park vs Gestede and Owen on transfer targets and we seen both sides have successes and failures. When you look at the January window aswell articles from Elliott Jackson in the last 2 days plus Nixon's articles and comments on the power struggle since the summer, Its seems Eustace had his own targets and I don't think he got any of them. He did refer to Karbgo signing as the club signing which seems to me he wasn't in favour of him coming in and probably thinking why didn't we sign Dembele instead. He was clearly unhappy with the slowest January Window and the fact we didn't sign his own targets. Rovers management clearly think they have bought in players with experience he wanted and think they have delivered what he wanted. I can see their point but looking at it from Eustace point of view, he clearly unimpressed with the lateness of the signings and short term nature of the signings plus I don't think Dennis and Woodrow was his own targets. I don't think he really wanted them either but accept them reluctantly. I also think Eustace knew that Derby job might come available and what their terms were being offered cos Derby wouldn't have approach us unless they knew Eustace would come.

I think it is utter bizarre that this issue wasn't sorted on Sunday afternoon/evening post game and Eustace even gave them a chance to keep him and offered him a new contract and assurances he wanted. The Rovers management wouldn't give him what he wanted, so John Eustace has said he wanted to go Derby cos he has got the assurances he wanted over budget, contract, influence on transfer policy which will be what John Eustace will say are his reasons whilst Rovers management will say that they couldn't agree to John Eustace terms cos that doesn't fit the club management structure and transfer policy.

Eustace clearly now felt all summer till now that what he signed up and what he was promised wasn't what was delivered but he delivered Rovers a good hard working team that is 6th but he feels that going to Derby is a better fit for him and his management ways.

I am gutted we lose him, Gardiner and Downing but Rovers management team could have stopped all this and give him what he wanted. I didn't expected them to cos then they look weak.

Its a mess and one that didn't need to happened.

So, its now over to them to bring in a new head coach and assistant to work with Johnson, Lowe and Benson. He has a good overall squad and any new appointment need to hit the ground running. I would also say that it is important that any new head coach gets a good working relationship with Travis and get him on side. Also it is important that Rovers secure the future of Travis, Tronstad, Hyam and Brittain for the future of the team and club. overt to the Rovers management team to deliver.

So on the back of that I’m assuming that you now finally admit that the January window was an absolute shit show as you’ve done everything to defend it up to now.

in what terms are we talking about? delivering Eustace's targets or the fact we didn't bring players earlier in the window? etc.

Please provide the context and I will answer of course

Three January transfer windows they've fucked up, and this one has led to the manager leaving.

As did the previous one.  Need one football manager who is happy with mediocrity and less.  Must not rock the boat.

I would have mentioned JDT but it wasn't the January window that led to him leaving, it was the end of the previous season when the hierarchy let it be known they wanted to sell anyone worth anything and release anyone on a decent wedge.

Nothing on either club website about official arrival/departure yet. Be interesting if he can't agree terms there🤣. Would we then have to sack him and pay compo? Could we sack him and claim that his continued employment was untenable?

Mowbray press conference:

Mowbray added: “I’ve got some great memories from my time at Blackburn Rovers. I had some very good players there and I had some very good days.

"They are in and around the play-off positions and have been for most of the season. They have ambitions to get back to the Premier League.

"I spent five very happy years there and I tried to help build the club.

I wouldn't yet call it an "absolute" shit show, watching on Sunday, Kargbo and Dennis looked like they might have rescued it to a degree.
