Eustace…GONE

I don’t think it’s delusional nonsense to attribute some significant blame onto Eustace for this! You do realise it is possible to not like Venky’s, Waggott and the general running of the club, but also think that Eustace has stitched up the famous club of Blackburn Rovers, the players who have done well this season and the fans who’ve really backed him.

But theres no way Eustace would have engineered a way out had the club backed him and spoken to him with some degree of respect.  This is ALL on venkys and their scummy employees. Jdt was the same last season.  Surely there's a common denominator in all this? Yes there is, venkys Waggott and Pasha.

Bellends may be difficult to swallow, but it is an apt description of those with an ‘alternative view’, or delusional  nonsense as it’s better known.

Bell ends and swallow in the same sentence, be very careful, especially when there is a job to be filled just now.

Good post

But it was Eustace himself who brought the being away from family line into it the media on  Sunday

Fair, but I still think it was a token comment. A hint of truth in it maybe, the casual observer/listener would readily accept it and move on. Nowhere near being the real reason though.

The issue is, IMO, some of our own fans taking that to be the main reason for his exit and piling on Eustace as a result. The very same response from some quarters as they gave to JDT 12 months ago. Some people will never learn.

It seems to be the way of this corrupt world.

The good guys who want to win and are trying to help you are the villains. The people who try and point this out are 'conspiracy theorists'.

The bad guys who don't give a shit about you and are in reality your enemy are lauded as being the saviours. The people praising them are lost and being led a merry dance. It doesn't just apply to Rovers or football either.

Two managers have walked in the space of 12 months for lesser opportunities. How can anyone point fingers at them?

If it had just been JDT you could have thought "well he's an ambitious, volatile character and it wasn't working out", but two? And then to read that club statement?

The fault at this club lies in the Board room and above.

Simon Jordan on Talksport talking about JE. Not holding back

Shared for everyone, but I've started it at the most pertinent part - the one that demonstrates Jordan has no idea.

"What he'll do is come and take the staff he wants from Rovers and the players he wants... that possibly are players he's been allowed to sign".

Ok Simon. He's taking Benson and Lowe is he? Don't think so. He'll take the two coaches he was allowed to bring with him initially and he might come in for Tronstad, Travis and Brittain in the summer. He's not going to come in for Batth, which is I think the only 'signing' he's recommended.

I haven't seen Eustace quoted anywhere as saying him living in the Midlands was a problem, in fact up until the weekend I didn't know any Rovers fan who was aware of this. I think this has been perpetuated as a myth to justify the likes of Jordan who likes to be a contrarian.

And this has been seized upon by some Rovers fans As a stick to beat him with.

I think we all knew that his family hadn't moved here and he was living in a hotel here.

He was very clever to drop the family card post game

Weimann and McFadzean were his signings aswell as Cantwell? wasn't Sanderson his signing?

If he was set on Derby, how come it hasn't been announced yet? Surely he would have agreed terms etc by now.

I wouldn't be surprised if we're being arses and dragging it out so he can't manage them tonight.

He was never managing them tonight, probably will be unveiled then though.

Oooph I need to put on my sunglasses, the ambition of those signings is too bright for me.

That's signings Eustace, just like he wanted Ruddy, Dembele and Stansfield this past summer and he wanted one of Thomas-Asante, McBurnie or Bamford to be sign in January

The fact he’s peddled out the family issue when there’s reports he’s been sounding out other jobs no closer to Birmingham, and Derby is hardly next door to Brum.

He lives a 40 minute drive from Derby’s training ground. I used to do a very similar commute a few years ago…basically up & down the A38.

One aspect that has slipped under the radar is why, when “the model” (that I think we all pretty much agreed with) necessitated a grow, develop and sell approach, did Waggott go and appoint a manager who prefers signing old lags to the point of resigning when he isn’t allowed to sign all of them? Doomed from the start.

Waggott did a classic knee-jerk when binning JDT saying basically that he was reverting to more old school approach. He then went for the closest thing to Mowbray available at that time & struck lucky IMO.

When Eustace proved less malleable than Tone, the problems highlighted by Elliott & Nixon started…
