Eustace…GONE

A lot of people already trying to shift all of the blame onto Eustace, 'well, everyone knows what Venky's are like', as thought it excuses them. For goodness' sake, if they'd given him the significant investment they claimed, (rather than gaslighting the fanbase) and a pay rise for doing well at his job (which any of us would expect in our own lines of work for the same), then none of this would have happened.

All the manager speak about 'togetherness' is just platitudes. The club are aiming to shift focus from their own failures onto a perceived lack of loyalty from our soon to be former manager and by God, people are falling into the trap.

Yes, he shouldn't be leaving for a team in 22nd and using family as an excuse, as though Blackburn Rovers have played anywhere else than Blackburn in the last 150 years, but if our owners and their underlings did their jobs properly, we'd be hot on the heels of the teams above us, instead of doing our annual mid season nose dive.

Venky,s Pasha, Waggott and Gestede OUT.

Reading on here I haven't seen anybody trying to shift the blame onto Eustace and away from the owners and board.

Everyone is aware that our ownership is the major issue and they are the ones that need outing from the club.

But people are allowed to be disappointed in the conduct of Eustace aswell

They are and I am too, but I just feel like it completely misses the point and focus needs to be on the owners.

Agree to a certain extent, as its evident on other sites that some are leaning towards the clubs version ...

But on here I see people who know the owners are the real problem,  are willing to take action (protests etc) and know the board are not fit for purpose

They just feel let down by John and are gutted another season is going to come to nothing,  just more ridicule in losing our head coach to a relegation contender

Agreed, the issues stem from the ownership and not Eustace. We can be frustrated but ultimately the root cause does not lie with JE... Some of our fanbase are filled with delusion, they have been for years, it's sickening how ignorant to the fact they are and how they try to claim the ownership is good for Rovers.

You try to challenge them and they become insulting, come across as mildly intelligent until you challenge them, classic narcissistic behaviour.

As much as I hate this ownership and board I'm starting to be a little bit disappointed at John Eustace for jumping the ship...he was not up for the fight for promotion ...only on his premises...he knew it would be hard here. He knew he needed to work hard to get something here and on first occation when someone wants you and that's an relegation club that looked awful last night...he jumps ship. We gave him a great chance here and he builded up his reputation then fook off to Derby

Well if people on here are focussing on Eustace, I can imagine how bad it is on the happy clappy sites and Facebook.

Then I’ve got my mate behind me to look forward to on Saturday, telling me I’m mad for wanting Venkys out.

Great.

With how the club is currently being run - month to month - I would not be surprised if there's a winding up order as soon as this time next year when all of the money has run out.

I think we'll go out of business shockingly quickly.

They will remit sufficient funding from India to avoid us going into admin because of the reputational risk…but no more.

Have you had your head in the sand for the last 2 years? He may well be getting a slighter better salary at Derby but at the end of the day that wont be the main reason he is moving from a Club in 6th to one in 22nd. Which Im sure wouldnt have been his choice in ideal circumstances.

He's moving because the owners have ceased funding the Club, we have no particularly saleable assets left, those we do have cant get new contracts and he couldnt even get a contract extension for himself. Basically we look like a Club heading for sale or administration / liquidation at the end of the 2025/26 season.

Whilst I didnt think Mowbray should have got a new contract do you think Eustace should have turned a long team deal from Derby down and risked getting to the end of his deal in 15 months time in a similar position  not knowing  what was happening? If it was you, you wouldnt do that.

As for Travis and Tronstad as joint player managers you're obviously being facetious so I'll respond in kind. Wouldnt be against it - Tronstad might be better as a manager than.......

I would guestimate his salary jump will be circa 5k a week. Time will tell.

Of course the reason he's moving mid season to a team who have not won in ten with zero recent history of success is personal gain.

Stop being so gullible. He doesn't give a shit whether Hedges or Siggy or Dolan gets a new contract. He doesnt care one iota if Travis or Batth gets an improved deal. They are work mates not family.  He doesnt even care that six new players have just signed, based on us being 6th and him being manager. Imagine how they feel? He clearly doesn't care about the Rovers at all.

I think it would be a very brave, interesting and exciting call to make Travis player manager for 16 games. It would unite the fans. It would unite the players. It would get everyone talking.

We've nothing to lose and we should think creatively. Please don't give me Grayson, Lowe, Harris, O'Neil, Edwards etc as the players need energising, not having to believe in some boring plank talking the talk.

Eustace hasn't played one minute of football this year. Not one. But Travis has. And he's been superb. Yes mentioning Tronstad was a joke.

Allardyce, Warnock, Travis for 16 games would cheer me up. I dont care about summer in the slightest.

No one is shifting blame. The owners have put the structure and finances into place to get us into 6th. They should have further gambled on this manager and trusted the process in January. It was a risk worth taking. Give him two or three quality Championship players and he would gave stayed for 15 more games.

Eustace could jave left in the summer with everyone's blessing. But his head has been turned. And the easiest way to do that is with an improved offer.
