I hope he stays, but if he resigned it might wake up a few of our supporters who either still don’t get it or in denial. I doubt it - it’ll be something like ‘1 win in 9, he was lucky not to be sacked’

It means you do things in a more energetic/creative/innovative way to stay competitive. Indeed. Posted similar before. Venkys = worth £2 billion (ie do have a pot to piss in but won't spend in any meaningful way,) don't attend, utterly uninterested, a plaything gone wrong = zombie club Previous owners/grandees etc (other than Jack) = worth sfa, no pot to piss in, attend, love the club and the town, try their best to support it in any way possible, maybe the outcome would be the same in terms of league postition but more love all round Which would you rather have? I know my answer. (And yes of course, ideally another Jack -or would we be happy with a rich middle Eastern state owner and close our eyes to er, certain rights issues?) chaddyrovers
I said a few months back that Rovers should be offering Eustace a new contract and @Eddie disagree with me. Wonder if you change your mind. We should be offering him a new contract asap as well as senior players at Rovers in my opinion. 28 minutes ago, roversfan99 said: He wont go to Derby agree

I wouldn’t be so sure. The subtext of his recent interviews = “I’m pissed off”.
roversfan99
Hmm, I thought surely there is no chance he goes to Derby. But if they are going to officially approach him, surely theyve had some encouragement. Either way, he is clearly not happy here.
Craigman
He's a goner for sure, the absent owners and cronies running our club should be ashamed. What next? Rooney here?
simongarnerisgod
i expect the old "mutual termination " at the end of the season,we ar`nt getting in the play offs and the lack of communication over player contracts, transfer budgets (or lack of them)tells us all we need to know, the future is`nt bright and we`ll have seen off another promising manager

Valconite
You don’t approach a club for their manager unless you have put feelers out and received positive signs. Potentially losing a manager to relegation fodder but when owners don’t communicate, you have a tosser like Maggot in charge, no transfer funds after raking in huge profits from sales and then silence on contracts running out is it any surprise he wants to jump ship? Worst owners in English football. What is their end game? Every year just gets worse. Anyway this news will nicely unsettle the side for tomorrow. What's the craic with Derby these days? They were a mess at one point but obviously managed promotion to the Championship. If they have owners with money and ambition, he'll probably sack us off for them in a heartbeat.

Ironically our saving grace here is that Venkys are highly unlikely to let him leave and will just hold him to his contract. Although we'd be left, once again, with a manager who doesn't want to be here and is just going through the motions. If he does want to leave us for Derby, that's one huge statement about our current shit show.
Popular Post Penwortham Blue
If he does go, and I don’t think any Rovers fan would blame him, then surely that has got to be the final straw and leads to a concerted backlash from our fan base, both active and dormant.

cesus
If not Derby it will be somebody else between now and the raft of early season September/October sackings. I watched the Andy Bayes (excellent) interview from yesterday and it screamed of JDT at the end, it was "me and the players" when anything was collectively mentioned and always separated them from upstairs.
BankEnd Rover
Eustace is unhappy here but I expect him to see it out till the summer. He will have plenty of options then, and some better than a relegation candidate in derby county.

Norbert Rassragr
I can't see Derby getting him, but a club like Sunderland, Southampton or Leicester might get him next season. An ambitious team with a bit of cash or a yo-yo club.

Will probably all come down to money.
