If he does go, you can be absolutely certain that the club will dress it us as something and nothing, but surely even the most staunch supporter of the current regime, will realise just how much of a mess things are. We have to jump to conclusions, simply because the biggest stakeholders in the club, us fans, are always left totally in the dark. Completely agree, I’m not defending the club in any way, I just think Derby would be a strange move for him. Then again, it is a big club with a lot of potential if the owners are ambitious. So maybe it’s a gamble worth taking.

Dennis could be that player and we can ONLY judged the end of the season, I'm sure if we don't make the playoffs you were be at the front of the queue telling us all how you were right and I was wrong. 52 minutes ago, islander200 said: Don't reply saying Dennis Is a goalscorer, he is a good player when fit but he is a 1 goal In 3/4 games player That's 15 goals a season which I say is good at this level
Popular Post arbitro
Twelve months on and the reality is that history could well repeat itself. Poor form, an uninspiring window and clear disenchantment from the manager. I don't know if Eustace will be interested in the Derby job but what is apparent from his recent interviews is that he feels let down. He has had players foisted upon him and while his stock is still high he has to make the most of it. If he goes the vast majority will know why and fully understated his rationale.
chaddyrovers
8 minutes ago, lraC said: There is a reason for him being linked all the time. It’s obvious people in the know, are fully aware that he has a unhappy. I was told fairly recently by someone working at a Championship club that West Brom were given a figure by us for compensation, but wouldn’t meet the amount. Thats from someone who I have known for a long time and trust 100%. My view is Derby will meet this figure and he will be gone. I don't think he will go to Derby and will stay with us till end of the season, after that who knows. Going to Derby would be very strange move and not a forward move but a backwards move. on the WBA link, that is pocket change for them tbh and I would suggest West Brom who were close to appointing Billy McKinlay Everton set to appoint 55-year-old in new West Brom manager contention, before he joined Moyes at Everton. They were never serious about appointing Eustace.

That California Rover on X will be the next to pipe up. Last week he asked me, in all seriousness, "Who care who the owners are? Our job is to get to the ground and support the team".
BigUts
Not read much of this thread, but if Rovers have said they "expect an approach" from Derby then he is as good as gone. I imagine Eustace has told them that's what's going on so it'll be down to cash now. We might luck out on another appointment and we stay in the playoffs but honestly this is really fucking boring now isn't it. Can't keep any decent players, can't sign any and can't keep good managers happy. Nearing the end of even giving a shit now.
alex l
"John expressed a desire to be closer to his family and to join Derby due to his long-standing connection to the club." Fully expect this to be the sort of spin from Rovers, should Eustace go. Hopefully he doesn't though and the drop in odds is purely due to punters jumping on the bandwagon. It happened with Xabi Alonso and Liverpool.

It really doesn’t take much to swing it. reckon we could probably get Chaddy into about 5/1 if we all contacted the bookies and asked for odds on him.
Gamst
In his mid-transfer window statement, Waggott cited the incredible team spirit in the dressing room as a reason why we basically weren’t signing many players. Now if rumours are to be believed they are willing to totally destroy this for….750k.

imy9
If he leaves now, I won’t forgive Eustace forget Venkys. We are in the top 6, players bought in for the short term, but they are here. We have also got a lot of players coming back in the next few weeks too. To leave us for Derby??? Come on Eustace we took a chance on you, take a chance on us to the end of the season. Eddie
20 hours ago, chaddyrovers said: I said a few months back that Rovers should be offering Eustace a new contract and @Eddie disagree with me. Wonder if you change your mind. We should be offering him a new contract asap as well as senior players at Rovers in my opinion. agree Have I changed my mind on if we should have offered him a new contract in October? No. It would have been ridiculous. Do I think we should be offering him a new contract now? I think the offseason would be the time to discuss an extension.
