Surely this is bringing today's game into disrepute? Derby will have out the feelers out days ago and I'll be surprised if they haven't spoken to Eustace's representatives in the interim. It appears a done deal to me.

It’s surely now blindingly obvious, even to the “why would he go there? I can’t see it”, people, that he wants the job. Sadly, I think the no I can’t see it people, have their heads in the sand. Hopefully, this will shake a few more, out of their slumber.
martonrover
I wouldn’t blame Eustace at all if he goes. A few desperate loan signings of players who’ve barely kicked a ball all season does not constitute a good Window. He’s not thick , and obviously realises that we are destined for a mid table finish. We don’t trust the goons running the place, so why should he? It’s going to draw attention to what a mess the club is, and that is a good thing.
SpaceBarSlam
I reckon there'll be a few "we want you to stay" chants at Ewood today, but that doesn't quite capture the bigger picture of "we want you to stay, but recognise why you want out of this shitshow and wish you all the best" that I think a lot of fans - certainly on here anyway - feel.
Nuttall is lost
Fooking Derby County! What a joke this club is. There's any hopes of promotion gone.

Popular Post Uddersfelt Blue
If Eustace says his goodbyes to the fans at the final whistle then he needs applauding. He’s done a great job without the right tools (my wife’s words). Who can blame him if he goes to a normal football club that is prepared to back him.
martonrover
Just now, Cherry Blue said: or maybe "pasha where are you, pasha where are you..." He is the one who should be the focus of anger. His protection is a cloak of invisibility.

It appears a done deal to me. Almost 100%. I imagine he’s already verbally agreed a salary, length of contract and has had assurances relating to next seasons plans. He’s as good as gone, and Rovers certainly won’t stand in his way when there’s a bit of compensation due. Waggott and Suhail can happily record an unforeseen windfall and begin to peruse lists of out of work managers. Another gut wrenching day for the fans of this once proud club. Pathetic.

Penwortham Blue
I would normally be there but overseas and so not at match today. For the few who will be there, please exhibit some anger towards the club officials (Swag / Pasha) and bring our real plight to the attention of the TV cameras / commentators.

Blue&WhiteArmy
Probably a terrible take and feel free to let me have it, in no way am I defending the board or the owners, can’t stand them and I’m dreaming of a day they’re no longer here but.. my underlying feeling is that of disappointment if he decides to go Derby, which looks all but done, for the last 6 months he’s called for togetherness and this injury hit squad has run through brick walls for him and the fans.. just a little kick in the face really. Clearly he’s been let down, as have the players and fans but I thought he’d see the season out with us. Depressing day! Despite the chaos behind the scenes it’s certainly an appealing job until at least the end of the season, a chance of taking us to the play-offs won’t be looked down on.. players coming back from injury too.. Just hope they have a contingency plan of some decent names and not another Kean/Berg disaster. Oh well, another day supporting this club. Happy one year anniversary John! I’ll give him a good send off today, deserves it!

Bethnal
Pasha, Waggott and Gestede will be sauntering around the fan lounges today, maybe the more expensive ones. I wonder if any of our fan group leadership will express the dismay of the fanbase at such news on the morning of an FA Cup fixture against Premiership opposition? No, surely the wise folk “representing the interests of their members/the wider fanbase” will see the wood for the trees, that £500k is a sensational deal for the club and that we never really wanted Eustace anyway, this was all to bide our time until Ryan Lowe was sacked by Preston. After today, all three should be made to feel as though their positions are untenable and the only option they have is to resign.
BigHoz
Speaks volumes in itself that a relegation favourite can approach a current top 6 team for their manager. Has this ever happened before 😂

Tony Rover
Hours before kick off and this is all over sky. What other club would this happen to! Derby can fucking do one ‘thoughtful of our fixture’ but the anger is definitely directed at the owners and the board. Bloody disgraceful. roverandout
Tbh u would think after being unceremoniously booted out after getting Birmingham into the play off places he'd feel the need to show some loyalty on his end but i have no ill feelings towards him if he goes
