Where's he's probably wrong is to wear his owner's hat and assume that Eustace will be demanding more than originally agreed from the owners because we happen to find ourselves in 6th.

I haven't made a snap judgement, just that he'll need more in his locker than pace to be a success. 

They had him sussed after his second run, where he booked for simulation (on 25mins) because he did very little after that other than get tackled/out muscled until he was subbed off 40mins later.

We all want him to be a success and no one is writing him off yet, jeez. Just don't get too carried away either.

Clearly he has no understanding of our situation and the circumstances right now and also with Tomasson. He even said something like 'it's still Venky's isn't it' when gobbing off. He had done no research but played on his 'I owned a club' rhetoric. How did that ownership go again?

Staying away as a “protest” against the owners achieves little except long term damage to the club. Crowds could dwindle to zero but that still does not mean they’d relinquish ownership.

Considering he put on record at the end he'd happily take £500k for the manager (the most important man at any club, and one that he said earlier in the piece had exceeded expectations) - it's no wonder he failed at Palace.

The other route I was thinking about was the total opposite. Turn out in force every game, get behind the team. wouldn't this encourage growth and spending in the Jan and summer?

They have no interest in growth as shown by the multiple times we've sold out the ground and then the following match/season tickets have been sat in the top 10% of the league's pricing table. It would make the club more money to have 15k ST holders at £250 (adult) than they do half of that (thereabouts) at £350. That's before you consider reducing walk on costs and the money people spend at the game. They just don't want the scrutiny of an engaged fanbase over 20k weekly.

I understand what you say, Jim but the truth is that if we all stayed away from Ewood, that is likely the only thing that would see the end of them.
