He knew what he signed up to, JDT made that clear enough. He has let the team and fans down. The club have lied and lied over the financial situation. They are down to 14 first team players in the summer. Only one of their January ‘significant investments’ is here past the summer, and he’s only for another year. Eustace currently has a club willing to meet the ‘release clause’ of his contract. West Brom wouldn’t, and there’s no guarantee another club in the summer will. And yet Eustace apparently has gone in and said he would still stop here providing they extend his contract and guarantee investment in his players and new players. And they’ve said no. They won’t offer him a new contract. They won’t commit and extend the contract of existing players. They won’t guarantee that any new signings won’t be cheap short term deals. Basics that any championship club should be doing. Hes trying his best to guarantee his future, the players futures and, for the fans, the well being of the entire club. However some people like you are so short sighted they just see a fading chance of top 6 this season, and lash out like a jilted ex. You don’t see that he was actually trying his best not to let any of us down. Edited February 10 by Hasta 36
Exiled in Toronto Mk2
There’s be a queue a mile long of managers who think they can get a club currently in 6th up to the Prem. Personally I’d make Trav player manager for now and challenge him to prove it’s the players and not the manager who have got us there so far. Plus he might well drop Cantwell. Eustace will do it to prove a point. Should get the players tied down. Then gets broken in January despite an exceptional first half of the season. AJW
Don5 think they will rush an appointment, Damien Johnson took over for game when Eustace was appointed see no reason why he wouldn’t take the job on for the next few games. , squad needs attention plenty either out of contract or loans will have expired

Blue blood
36 minutes ago, Southside Rover said: Trying to look from a different perspective here and it's difficult but... Maybe what Eustace asked for is not realistic in the current climate. All back on Venkys as it always is but if the club can't commit to his requests then there really was no choice if his head had been turned. Another aspect for me...no club can invest now so why not see it out. If we inevitably drop away he's still over achieved and stock is still high. Next season there will be opportunities to return to the midlands. If he did achieve the impossible of which so far he's managed, then his stock would be even higher, maybe even with a promotion to his CV. I get he's pissed, as we all are but I still think the timing is a little odd. Of course on the inside of it all, if he has been misled, lied to etc. then no one wants to work for people like that. Club isn't interested in promotion. The desire for investment despite the opportunity before us will be knocked back because we are overachieving. It was never in the script. Why is Rudy and Swag not coming out all season praising the work of a manager and players defying the odds? In summary, Eustace wanted backing, Swag couldn't/wouldn't and he'll be gone before the day is out. Don't want it but as my Google feed has picked up a story on Wayne Rooney at the top of the page, I'm fearing it is more than a coincidence... Watch this space... If it isn't realistic to want 25% of fees generated reinvested in recruitment and to think about having your core players for 2 years then you have no business running a football club and no clue about football whatsoever. (Venkys that is although if you agree with this...)

Popular Post SuperBrfc
I've not caught up with the thread yet, but have just seen the disgusting piece of propaganda from a puppet. Notice how Eustace is the problem now. Just like JDT was the problem. Same old script. Bullshit put out to protect the ownership. Eustace didn't play his best players. Eustace often wants to leave clubs. Eustace got what he wanted but still complained. It was a relief that Eustace left in the end, said some insider. (Exact same put out about JDT). This is all PR bollocks. The fans need to unite now more than ever against the enemy.

Don't get me wrong, out of moral conscience I'll take part but people shouldn't kid themselves that any protests, any words we say, any actions we take will have any significance as to what they do. They do not care. They never have and they never will.
