Like Hedges he starts by default. There's no way if you give Eustace £1m he's spending it on buying Dolan. The West Brom commentators would, they were complimentary the other night. I always try to listen with the "other" commentary, I find it a much more balanced view of our performance. No axes to grind.

He'd been lied to repeatedly. He'd not been given any long term assurance. He'd made very specific requests for improvement to the squad, not too much to ask given we've brought in 40 million over the last 12 months. Said requests were met with nothing. Even at the 11th hour he gave them a chance to show some ambition and long term planning and was told to get fucked. I'm amazed he lasted as long as he did.

Popular Post Nuttall is lost
4-0 down. Have to laugh. Backroom DE. Posted February 14 Backroom Share Posted February 14 Eustace won't have as long as Derby as he did with us to start turning things around. He can't afford to wait until the last few games of the season to pick up some surprise wins - they'll be down by then - and there's no Sammie Szmodics in that Derby team to rescue points. Pretty much the worst possible start for him. Transfer window closed as well so no chance of bringing in any reinforcements. Think he's going to realise very quickly the huge drop off in quality when it comes to our squad versus Derby's. We may be lacking in depth, but our first eleven are very solid for this division. No guarantee of coming straight back up from L1 either. Some big clubs (including Derby themselves) have gotten stuck down there for some time. Can't afford to have the mentality of 'we'll take the hit and bounce back'.

Upside Down
Not sure why people are laughing at Derby being shit. Remember we didn't win a single home game last season under Eustace and we also got bummed completely away at Bristol.

martonrover
They’ve got Millwall at home next week. A far more winnable game, but the pressure will be on. If they can’t win that kind of game, they really are in trouble.

Old Codger
Derby look piss poor to be fair. Either their players were shite to begin with, or someone has put extra worry juice in their half time drink, as they don't half look nervous and lacking in ideas on the ball. Makes our performance at WBA look like a day out at the Bernabau!

But.....PNE, Hull, West Brom, Coventry, Derby. What the fucks he playing at? All with an immaculate longer term vision and structure than Rovers? All closer to home?Hull are bottom three? As are Derby? It's money, not visions or strategy or opportunity. I'll leave it there. You all know my thoughts. Glad he's gone, he is one sneaky bastard.

I'd think he knew when he took the job that Derby would be difficult to save from relegation, which shows how low he ranked our club as a place of employment. His job will be to take Derby straight back up and take it from there. At least he's at a club where the manager and admin will work together, not one where the efforts of the players and coach are under-appreciated and sabotaged as a matter of routine.

Failed to win a single home game. I got pelters at the time, as we seemingly should have been grateful for him 'keeping us up'. Bollocks. He almost took us down. 2

Did they ever end up with the **** end of the stick for the sake of a few hundred grand.
