Couldnt you say that about every element of the club? The only people that need to know are internal. There surely is a duty to communicate such matters.

We have fans travelling down without officially knowing who is in charge.

Great point! Although it matters internally, there are supporters spending their valuable time and money going tonight. it's a disgrace the lack of communication to us.

The match preview on the Rovers website is awesome - basically a nice chat with the opposition manager and his view on tonight's game after reminiscing about his time as chief lunatic at the asylum...

It makes your blood boil. He's part of the reason we're in as much **** as we are.

I personally think he's sh*te and will be gutted if we appoint him.

He's a Sky and TalkSport darling which is why he's always so bigged up in the media.

Just read that after his permanent appointment at Bournemouth they went 8 games without a win and then just about stayed up - sh*te.

Edit - I think he was a bit unlucky at wolves, not financially backed, best players sold and some crap VAR decisions, but I am still highly unconvinced he knows anything about how to get a Championship club promoted. He was technically on the coaching staff when Bournemouth went up, but that was putting bibs and cones out, not managing.

Bit in bold sounds familiar... save for it was the lack of VAR that did for us on Sunday!

They have (surely), but the assumption is that they've simply not announced it.

I'm guessing, but I reckon:

Derby have paid the Eustace fee.

The assistants don't have the same terms, we're playing hard ball on them.

The ones that are staying - Johnson, Benson, Lowe, will have been told immediately after Eustace said he was going that they would lead the team.

We're aiming to have a new manager by Swansea.

That makes sense to me. Without the compensation clause, the Assistants probably have notice periods and Rovers will be difficult on this and try to monetarise it.

I'm not entirely sure but I keep getting drawn to Gary O'Neil. Think he could get the best out of this young side. We don't have any superstars but a strong unit (star players at Wolves were the issue) and very tactically astute (e.g. Sky Sports appearance) which I feel has always been an issue with us. His touchline passion could either ignite us or infuriate us. Just some thoughts.

We sometimes joke about a fan taking his boots  to a game.

Maybe one needs to take his clipboard tonight just in case.

I’m just hoping that Jim MK2 is given the clipboard tonight. After seeing nothing but failure all season, hopefully he has identified our weaknesses and it is an easy fix.

It’s not ideal…but I once remember singing “Nobody’s blue & white army” away at Barnsley so fans can improvise 🙂

I’ll be honest, I like the short term option of 15 games and massive incremental bonus for play off / promotion.

For this lot it'll be 15 games with the reward of a 3 year contract provided we finish outside the top 6 😉

Has anyone seen Penwortham Blue and Jim in the same room?

No me neither......

Did a bit on TalkSport - 1:37.30 for the full segment…

Well done on that piece. Listened to it live in the car earlier.

The whole 'decade since they last attended' seems to get the biggest reaction from most neutrals i've noticed.

surely the Rovers supporters deserved to know and that should have been in the statement released on Monday evening?

What about the supporters travelling down to the Hawthorns tonight not deserve to know?

Do you not agree that the communicate from Rovers owners and club top management is piss poor and getting beyond the joke? surely if so, its it one of the key part of the club proper communication with your fan base and supporters whilst STH, match day fans, or live in Devon or Scotland, surely we all deserve to be told 2 days ago who would be in charge?

of course its pathetic from the club and  said yesterday the supporters deserved better communication from the club. Lets be honest, The Eustace Derby situation should have been sorted at the latest Sunday evening. Surely one of Rovers club management  or someone at Rovers media department saw the links/reports from Reporters linking Eustace with Derby? Surely, you have a conversation with him on Saturday night/Sunday morning  to discuss those reports. Surely that is logical approach?

Of course we all should know…a lot of things should happen but don’t at Rovers (!) …but essentially, since Monday afternoon, I do firmly believe that the players will have known who was in charge of the team tonight.
My point is they are priority number one right now. We need Travis to galvanise them. We need another Stoke City backs to the wall type response.

Watching Rovers tonight will be unusually illuminating for many reasons.

For the second time, I’m still in Tenerife and I imagine Jim MK2 is on his way to the Hawthorns, he threatened as much post the QPR loss 😊

Bullshit 😉

Jim hasn’t been to a Rovers game in decades, but he’s loving this attention.
