That's your argument completely destroyed in a couple of paragraphs. I dont blame either for wanting to leave but I think there's a strong argument that JE behaved far more profesionally than JDT.

He may have had poor results towards the end but we werent getting beaten 2's and 3's every week with tactics that clearly werent working.

Not a huge difference in their L5-10-15 matches really, a lot of this is just variance, and christ JDT had a bench of Garrett, Telalovic, Markanday, Leonard, Weston, Hilton and Gamble for most of those matches. We had Ennis starting in some of them!

Also worth noting, Eustace only picked up 6 points in his first 10 games. Everyone says 'we 100% would have got relegated under JDT', this early period under Eustace was just as bad.

What people are completely losing sight of in their haste to berate Eustace, like a jilted lover, is how bad it must REALLY be behind the scenes at Ewood to pass up a chance of promotion, albeit a slim one, in favour of joining a Club in 22nd.

I suspect we wont find out just how bad until the end of next season. Unless the miracle happens of course.

Or maybe, in your haste to speak kindly about your former lover, you are underestimating why it would be so appealing to (probably) take a raise and take a significantly longer contract. Forget the football. Forget the leadership. That's more money and job security.

Whilst I liked our last manager but one a lot, blimey.

The cult of JDT is still going strong!

How is it a cult?

Every JDT 'cult member' is openly critical of him.

You, on the other hand, basically won't hear a bad word said about Eustace. It's a surprise that your thumb has broken from all the downvoting.

I wouldn’t be too bothered with what Eddie says, Rev. “Good riddance to bad rubbish” to describe a decent bloke who did a good job in difficult circumstances can be added to last weekend’s never to be forgotten “happy to be out of the cup”.

Good luck John sorry it didnt amount  to more.

Any other moment in time you would of been hailed a Rover.

I know people joke about the togetherness, his short term here did leave us with that and has to be applauded unknowingly he has kick started , hopefully some serious discussion about our future.

We are Blackburn.

Now is the time.

ROVERS TIL WE DIE 🔵🌹

Not to be terribly pedantic or punctilious, but it's "We are Rovers."  The outsiders call us Blackburn.

Jesus Christ that's got to be the best name on this entire forum.

Bravo sir.

Interesting value structure.

Exactly.

Or, if you're going to lie, tell the SAME lie today to keep your story straight!

As a partner of officer Eddie "Popeye" Egan (of The French Connection fame) who was from my area used to say:

"Always tell the truth; it's easier to remember."

That's the first and last Mourinho to Eustace comparison........

Waggot n co will be loving all the negative energy at Eustace...The real and only problem falls with the board. Let's not get distracted now.

They certainly will, they've played an absolute blinder in that respect.

And even if they were the ONLY reason, why would you blame him for that.

Eustace lied in the statement. It was 100% Wednesday that the first approach from Derby County was made. And that's only what you hear

But listen, these things happen in every industry, let alone football. If you aren't happy in your job then you start to "put the feelers out" and move on. The idea that this makes Eustace a judas or a bad person is just wrong

It is a little underhand, and actually out of sorts for him, but nevertheless he's made his decision and has been man enough to do it

Time will tell if it is right for him. Derby aren't in the best position either on or off the pitch

I personally hope for JE it is the right move. Wish him every luck at Derby. I look forward to playing them in a few weeks and hope we beat them. After that day, they are no threat to us, they probably won't be in the same league as us next year, and so it is a case of thanks for the hard-work and goodbye John

The bigger problem is why we have lost two good managers in as many years, both of which cite problems with the board. They are the real enemy, not John, or Jon, but Suhail and Balaji

I just think it's so irrelevant when Derby got in touch and what Eustace said anyway..Everyone has a white lie in them, it's how us humans operate.

I’d believe you if you didn’t spend half your time responding or reacting to everything I post.

If there are any cults here, you two are definitely in it. I’m most flattered.
