Eustace has got his longer contract and significant pay rise.

Now he is referencing Derby's togetherness, synergy and longer term vision as a key reason for joining.

Mmmm. Does he think we are stupid? What a load of absolute horseshit. Derby's vision? They've not won in ten and just lost seven on the bounce. They are in freefall.

So what vision would that be exactly? A visit to Blackpool next season? Cambridge, Crawley, Exeter and Lincoln? A true visionary indeed.

How about you honour the contract you signed here you plank instead of exploring League One possibilities? Six new lads relying on you and eighteen others who have shown you total committment and loyalty all year. Relying on you John. You know like a family. A fan base that embraced you and supported you even when you nearly took us down.

The owners not send you an Xmas card? Didn't invite you to their Palace? Boo hoo. Still paid your wages though and all those around and beneath you.

Here's my vision. I hope Eustaces problems start at QPR, Derby's pathetic run continues, they still struggle for goals and he's managing in League One next season. With a relegation on his record.

Then starts very slowly and is sacked by Xmas. Just in time to spend lots of time with his family. Togetherness and all.that.

And look at the lift him leaving gave the players last night. All of tthem. Fucking.hell, we can attack! And score! And win away! And our striker can now shoot!

Now that's a vision we can all enjoy.

Lol you'd stay in your current job with uncertainty, low pay, broken promises?

Over higher pay, better location, more certainty?

It's very clear to me why he's gone. Nothing to do with our owners. Nothing to do with Derbys project or vision.

He does not give a fig about Derby and it's foolhardy to think otherwise.

Hes gone for one reason and one reason only.

Utter nonsense. He got no backing when he asked for assurances. The only reason he left was because of the people higher up

I feel JE’s heart was never with the club and only viewed us as a means to an end.
He would have known what he was getting into when he signed on.
No doubt, he and his team handled the job professionally, and the lads amazed everyone this season.
Our league position created an excellent pivot for him and Derby offered the perfect chance to turn the tables on the club and leave. That’s all in the past now, let’s get behind the lads, and DL… COYB!

Isn't that the case with the vast majority of managers?

I think its built in to want to  see the other team where the manager is going, fail.

I dont want them to win. I dont want any other team to win apart from my own. Gave us some good games to be excited about this season and created a solid back line for us.

We move on

And whoever’s playing the dingles, surely?

He got backing, the playes came in all be it a little late but he got the players, i'll also ask you,  if you were the boss knowing your manager was activley looking for other jobs (allegedly) would you say hey mate heres another three years contract but please stop looking for othr jobs, and by the way i cant let you know the budget for next season as we may possibly be in the premier league, that changes everyhing okay John, Togetherness my backside.

And here we go with Derby, same crap he spouted at Rovers.

What backing? Those players weren't his pick.  He was given tuppence to spend on players.  He obviously felt the club didn't match his ambitions otherwise he wouldn't have gone looking for another job and yet he still gave Waggott an 11th hour opportunity to give him assurances which Waggott basically told him to fuck himself.  The blame lays firmly on trasha's and maggots table

So good you did it twice, so you have it personally none of these players were his pick, as for the 11th hour oppurtunity again i guess you personally know Waggott told him to do one. so whos the next manager as you seem to know all the information.

Maybe Waggott did do all the things you suggest, but does that negate Eustace looking at other roles,  week in week out with the togetherness crap,  as that was NOT true. a very poor run of results is on the manager, anyway good luck to him, but lets not get carried away, Sammie kept us up last year not Eustace.

Listening to Deeney on Talksport now after a private chat with Eustace this morning.

Says he had been promised cash to spend if we kept us up and the long term future and backing from the board. Wouldn't extend Eustace's or other player's contracts especially those expiring this summer.

Wanted to stay apparently and wanted assurances about the future direction of the club before committing either way, whichever way.

Deeney saying the training ground and ground are in a mess after visiting both last summer. Says they are not reinvesting in the squad after getting big money in from Szmodics and Wharton and we are in a mess and Venky's should sell.

Something is clearly running deeper here but its fantastic people are seemingly sitting up and taking notice.

re the above is probably paraphrased a bit due to typing whilst it was ongoing.

Troy knows! 😉

Define 'in a mess'.

Granted it's been about 15 years since I visited Brockhall, but it was certainly a good Premier League facility then.

He said it's clear it needs a lot of investment and is in a bad state.

I spoke to a former physio a couple of years agol and he told me similar and that we basically do just the very bare minimum to keep the Cat 1 status in respect of available facilities

Shocking. For what purpose do we have a CEO?

Any decent person would be raising alarms but Waggott is happy to carry on as long as he is paid.

He's there mainly to deflect blame from the owners and put out bitter, unprofessional, press statements.

Excellent article in today’s Times newspaper on Eustace and the continuing dysfunctional Venky’s regime at Ewood. Written by Gregor Robertson, an ex-footballer.

Says Eustace was also in for the Hull job - which is new - in addition to West Brom and Coventry, suggesting again that Eustace only saw Rovers as a temporary job on the way to something better.

Again begs the question - was John not the victim in all this and did he use the club?

To sum up:

Bastard Venky's again!. Parasites Suhail and Waggott...... But Eustace doesn't come out smelling of roses.

Good to be getting more of this kind of stuff out there and good on Eustace using a source at a big media outlet - although Deeney isn't always the most reliable.

I wish there was a more concerted effort to get some of this information out.

It is possible for multiple people to be bad actors in the same set of events.
