Don't upset the Eustace cult.

Let's not forget, he came in here 12 months ago and read from the hymn book. Didn't miss a beat about operation survival and what a mess the club was.

12 months later and he'll leave us because of lack of ambition when the club is in the top 6?

Smacks of an opportunist who talks out of both sides of his mouth.

IF he leaves, then he deserves the lies he may have been told over the last 12 months as he was telling just as many himself.

Unfortunately for us, our club will eventually be filled with the types of characters that our ownership and leadership deserve.

I feel so much anger towards yourself and the comments on Eustace.

I said months ago that Eustace should get a new 3 year contract and you still don't think we should. I just don't get that.

Already eagerly awaiting chaddys list of Neil Harris, Des Buckingham, Ian Evatt, Garry Monk and Kyle McFadzean as managers that we should look to interview ASAP to keep our top 6 push going.

And the annual review of our inevitable finish well outside the top 6 when it will be put down to Eustace's refusal to change formation and sign player x in January as to why we stumbled down the table.

embarrassing post from yourself.

Eustace has done a brilliant job and got us into the playoff place which was expected by most.

no shortlist from myself as I wanted Eustace to stay and get a new contract and take us to the PL. Don't you?

Absolutely, outside the stadium. Support the lads inside, then after the final whistle 👍 those who refuse to go to the games should be outside making a noise. 14 years and counting, yet another demoralising day for the fans/circus.

Someone organise it and I’m there, outside the Jack Walker Stand, waiting for Waggot after the game, with a placard.

This is the problem for me though- no one wants to sort it (me included). We have an awful lot of anger on here, which is aimed at a keyboard, but not inside/ outside the ground. Until this changes, we’ll all be sat here in another 5 years, complaining on here.

Obviously I want Eustace to say. But he clearly isnt going to.

And you are happy with every manager while they are in situ so you dont deserve to do the I was right routine.

If he goes, is that it for the play off push?

Anyone fancy Derby's chances of staying up at Plymouth's expense?

They have just beaten Liverpool and unlike Derby, seriously strengthened in January.

I don't think Derby can catch Hull - so if Plymouth start a run they're doubly screwed.

In the real world and normal everyday life yes.

I think a football manager will be OK for a while though if he's unemployed for a bit.

Not sure what people think, but I think rovers could do worse than see if we can tempt a serial winner like Emma hayes out of her USWNT contract. Think it would not only be a shrewd appointment but also a real statement of progression, not only for rovers, but for the men’s game as a whole. It’s about time we were trailblazers again.

I’ve encouraged my brother and his friends to stop going into the ground on matchdays and most of them are giving their season tickets up next season (or saying they will, but I’ll believe that when I see it).

If you could give me the power of perfect execution, I’d say making Pasha, Waggott and Venky’s the target for protest before a game, for ten minutes during the game and after a game, as well as on the way to away days, across podcasts, across as much media as possible, via the fans forum and supporters’ trust would be the exact thing we should be doing as a fanbase. I now believe we simply cannot go up under these owners and the only divisional change will be fluke upwards and almost-inevitable downwards (eventually). FWIW, I don't subscribe to the theory that they don’t want the club to go up, but I think it’s an extremely difficult thing to do for the capable and very engaged owners that already try to do it every season. Being half the world away, taking no interest and now providing no funding takes the probability of our owners managing it to as close to zero as is possible.

You don't know his situation.

I agree that Rooney or Gerrard would be too high profile for this lot, plus even they would get fed up with Venky nonsense and walk out within a year as they can afford to and don't need the cash.

Waggott and the Venky dogsbody will want someone low profile who won't attract a media circus to the club which could shine a light on what they are up to behind the scenes. So it will be someone low key.

They will also try to get someone who will tolerate their nonsense and not resign or look for a route out of here - so in that case it will be a desperado.

I would be expecting names like Mike Beale, Ryan Lowe, Paul Warne and Ian Evatt.

Expand

I'm going for Aitor Karanka to rock up here. Though one of those cheaper, low key names is more likely.

Karanka has enough of an 'exotic appeal' to win over some of the fanbase. They can trot out the 'he plays good football' line.

He's out of work and is former Boro and Birmingham. Would he come here? I think he would. He would probably face the same issues months down the line as previous managers, but that's another matter.

There are always a few out there that think "I can fix it", even when everything says avoid those owners.

That's because Ewood Park on matchdays is now like a series of sequels to Donald Sutherland's 1978 classic, "Invasion of the Body Snatchers".

no I am not but I like Eustace alot, he done an excellent job and someone who you can see the connection between him, the players and the fans.

I have no idea who I would want to replace Eustace if he goes. I have no idea tbh.

Do you have any names or possible shortlist who you would want to replace him with if he does go?

Well he signed Gestede when he was at Boro, and Rudy does like his old Boro mates, so possible.
