Part of the WATR statement was read out too which I think raised a few eyebrows on the panel. Phil Thompson was very sympathetic towards our plight with big sam(although he readily admitted that he didn't know the venkys were still owners until this kicked off) Said it was a disgrace they hadn't been to a game in 10 years 7 Quote

Popular Post Tugayslongwalkoff Posted February 11 Popular Post Posted February 11 If John Eustace is pictured at the Derby game tonight when he is still technically the manager of Blackburn Rovers Football Club who are preparing for an important game tomorrow, then for me that is breaking new ground in terms of disrespect. As much as I am apoplectically angry at our sorry excuse of a regime and they must all leave the club, I’m actually starting to think John Eustace has been extremely disrespectful to our club by courting other jobs. Not to mention disingenuous to the fans. 16 1 Quote
Ianrally Posted February 11 Posted February 11 (edited) And the Venkys haven’t been any of those things? Get a grip! Nevertheless welcome to the board. Edited February 11 by Ianrally 5 Quote
neophox Posted February 11 Posted February 11 If our players done what Eustace has with looking for new employees under his time as Rovers manager we would not been happy at all. Quote
Backroom Tom Posted February 11 Backroom Posted February 11 Well if Norwich win tonight he no longer leaves us as a team in the top 6! Quote

So you didn’t read my entire comment then? For your information you will not find are more vociferous opponent of those bastards, two can be in the wrong and on this occasion I believe they are to a large degree. 1 Quote

This is really frustrating to sit and wait for the inevitable. You'd have expected it to be all done and dusted before Derby kicked off tonight. Just want it announced at this point so we can move on as best we can. Edited February 11 by sharpysharps86 Quote

Not to mention disingenuous to the fans. He doesn't owe the club anything, the club owes him, a lot. Ask yourself one question, why would a manager swap a promotion challenge for a relegation battle with a team in the same division? Eustace has been lied to repeatedly and had the piss taken out of him by the club. He's done what any self respecting individual would do and got out of the place at the first opportunity. 8 Quote

Ermmm its not rocket science. I can think of about twenty thousand reasons in month one. Quote

Rovers agreed to inserting a buy out clause in his contract. Eustace’s agent was very wise to have that included . No half decent manager will stay at Rovers for long. Managers will come with good intentions, and then realise what they are up against. 2 Quote

It's straight out of my book, you are allowed to think for yourself rather than talking in clichés and automatically blaming Waggott for every I'll in the world. If his heart/head haven't been in the job, then it's obviously possible that he hasn't been on the ball which could well have contributed to the poor form. Quote

Do you not think he has let the players down? We all get the major issue is the owners and the people running the club but if true that Eustace has been courting himself to other clubs for months then that's bullshit, and he has shit on both the fans and players. Jdt was critical throughout, up to a few days ago Eustace is spouting the blackburn family line and going on about togetherness?Standard manager speak some may say but not if you have your heart set on leaving Like for example when he was speaking with Sanderson over a move here did he mention that he was itching for a move away? 1 Quote
JCRovers Posted February 11 Posted February 11 What a mess all of this has been. All you can do is speculate on what is going on behind the scenes and that's it. Lack of commitment seems to be the wider issue at the club coming from multiple parties. Any new head coach will be very cautious or simply unaware of the financial situation before accepting the position. Don't want to see a revolving door of head coaches coming and going every year because it absolutely destroys any sense of long-term vision and strategy for the team and the players. Quote
