Can be interpreted different ways. They support the club's perspective, or they like that Eustace is getting out as they know it's a shit show

Who would pay that for Dolan?

A fucking tribunal decision isn't the same as what someone wants to pay, jesus.

He is a 23 year old with something like 170 Championship appearances. We aren't getting under a million in compo.

Would you want this guy?

He'd literally have to get us promoted first time of asking, only way I could stand to look at that face with all the shit going on at the club.

He wouldn't come anyway, after his comments during the O'Brien debacle.

Why do they? What's the point?

Cos we need a quick replacement and we got a playoff place to secure

Like him or loathe him. I guarantee Dolan signs for Derby for free in the summer.

Eustace will do it to prove a point.

Should get the players tied down.

I wouldn't be too sure but I bet he signs Batth and Weimann for them plus bids for Travis, Brittain and Hyam probably

However some people like you are so short sighted they just see a fading chance of top 6 this season, and lash out like a jilted ex. You don’t see that in a way he was trying his best not to let any of us down.

Well he should have carried on with the job he signed up for. He, like the rest of us, was under no illusion.

Some people like you just say anything that suits your agenda.

The club have lied and lied over the financial situation. They are down to 14 first team players in the summer.  Only one of their January ‘significant investments’ is here past the summer, and he’s only for another year.

He currently has a club willing to meet the ‘release clause’ of his contract. West Brom wouldn’t, and there’s no guarantee another club in the summer will.

And yet Eustace apparently has gone in and said he would still stop here providing they extend his contract and guarantee investment in his players and new players. And they’ve said no. They won’t offer him a new contract. They won’t commit and extend the contract of existing players. They won’t guarantee that any new signings won’t be cheap short term deals. Basics that any championship club should be doing.

Hes trying his best to guarantee his future, the players futures and, for the fans, the well being of the entire club.

However some people like you are so short sighted they just see a fading chance of top 6 this season, and lash out like a jilted ex. You don’t see that he was actually trying his best not to let any of us down.

The people he met with today haven’t the authority to make those kind of decisions,  even if they wanted to. I know that, you know that, and most of all Eustace knows that.

I’m sorry but I despair at some of the cretins who support the club.

They really are thick.

I can understand people in the media not really getting it and taking the club’s side, but if you follow the club, and have a brain, you cannot blame Eustace at all.

You really love that c word don't you. It speaks volumes about you. Just stop it! It's not difficult.

And if you don't blame JE at all in this you really don't follow this club.

He sits in a job interview. They tell him the parameters of the job.

That gets broken in the summer.

Then gets broken in January despite an exceptional first half of the season.

Therefore that’s literally not “what he signed up for”

Don5 think they will rush an appointment, Damien Johnson took over for game when Eustace was appointed see no reason why he wouldn’t take the job on for the next few games. ,  squad needs attention plenty either out of contract or loans will have expired

Do you think the Venkys have been good custodians of Blackburn Rovers?

Trying to look from a different perspective here and it's difficult but...

Maybe what Eustace asked for is not realistic in the current climate. All back on Venkys as it always is but if the club can't commit to his requests then there really was no choice if his head had been turned.

Another aspect for me...no club can invest now so why not see it out. If we inevitably drop away he's still over achieved and stock is still high. Next season there will be opportunities to return to the midlands. If he did achieve the impossible of which so far he's managed, then his stock would be even higher, maybe even with a promotion to his CV.

I get he's pissed, as we all are but I still think the timing is a little odd.

Of course on the inside of it all, if he has been misled, lied to etc. then no one wants to work for people like that.

Club isn't interested in promotion. The desire for investment despite the opportunity before us will be knocked back because we are overachieving. It was never in the script. Why is Rudy and Swag not coming out all season praising the work of a manager and players defying the odds?

In summary, Eustace wanted backing, Swag couldn't/wouldn't and he'll be gone before the day is out.

Don't want it but as my Google feed has picked up a story on Wayne Rooney at the top of the page, I'm fearing it is more than a coincidence...

Watch this space...

If it isn't realistic to want 25% of fees generated reinvested in recruitment and to think about having your core players for 2 years then you have no business running a football club and no clue about football whatsoever. (Venkys that is although if you agree with this...)

Of course not. But that doesn't excuse JE for dumping and running.

He knew we were a basket case when he signed up. Now he can't stand it any longer. Nothing has changed and nothing will until the Reos dissappear.

If you want to finish in the top 6 you get a manager in ASAP not give it to Johnson for a few games  and take your time over a decision.

Yes, I know, your children will be next.

I don't think that 25% clause was in his contract. Do you?

Agree to be fair.

And I doubt those points Eustace went in to make weren’t raised for the first time today. He will have been making them all January. And they've fell on deaf ears.

Won't work, I've done them all. Even protested on my own. Everywhere, even against the F.A.

Don't get me wrong, out of moral conscience I'll take part but people shouldn't kid themselves that any protests, any words we say, any actions we take will have any significance as to what they do. They do not care. They never have and they never will.
