Eustace…GONE

Recommended Posts

Someone on Facebook has challenged me on the investment stance. Says we have spent £5m due to the wages of the players we have brought in and that until we sold Wharton and Szmods, we were strictly limited to paying £10k a week. Tried to highlight Gally, Trav, Szmods, Kaminski were likely on more than that, but this is how some fans view the club. Bring in £35m+ in fees, and this is the best we should expect to go out.

Put it this way... They're trying to make the club as self sufficient as possible so they can put less money in. What will give them more of a reason to leave? Not giving them any more money, making it harder for them to fund the club or some words said at some half hearted protest that will likely be less of a protest than what we were doing 10 years ago... I say to all the fans...

The choice is yours.

If you want to finish in the top 6 you get a manager in ASAP not give it to Johnson for a few games  and take your time over a decision.

If you want to get into the top 6 you back the manager that has you sat there in February.

I think Eustace, went into the meeting with both barrels aimed at Suhail..

But we will never know. Just waggott & his best mate know what was said & hide behind the news now scawling across sky sports that tells a story to the world, step one to clear them from blame.

Given how happy he is to lie to himself, I think the answer is yes.

What are you referring to. I said the clubis a basket case (that's not good you know).

JE wasn't lied to. He just didn't get more than he was promised. Many of us would expect a well run club to give him at least part of what he wanted.

You can rewrite this story all day to suit your agenda, but Eustace knew what he was getting into. He just thought he could squeeze the club a bit. He failed.

Nicko had his Patreon account is suggesting Eustace has been unhappy since the summer and over the transfers policy over the summer and the winter. he wanted certain players and didn't get them. Plus add Paul Mani comments over the budget he was promise then didn't get it. He wanted quick signings in January and didn't get them. Plus then factoring in Eustace's camp has been looking at other jobs.

Rovers should have kept their promises to Eustace and give him the assurances he wanted plus a new contract. What a mess.

Where we go from here, god knows but we need a quick appointment and Rovers should have know since Friday/Saturday this was coming and should have been sounding possible head coaches out. Rovers need to sort out what the transfer policy is and who is picking them and what say the head coach has and make sure he is happy with that. Otherwise, we will back to this again in the summer and next February

Also Rovers need to srt out the contract situation of our key players and why hasn't already been done. What a fucking mess again. No long term planning and thinking.

Thank you, Chaddy, for being honest about the situation and how unacceptable it is.

I'm feeling gaslit by some of the fans on FB, it's reassuring that even you, with your constant positivity flag, can see and admit this is a right mess.

Who the hell are you?

The c word? Do you live in a monastery or something?

I think it’s the first time I’ve used it on here.

I’ve followed the club since the late 70’s.

Now jog on, you obvious club plant.

Did you say 'cash' again mate? Please don't throw words around the Club like that....

I'm pretty sure even the board have been clear that the wage budget has been cut significantly in the last few years. What a bizarre thing to argue!

I was due to retire last August, I had a reasonable salary and working conditions until about 18 months ago until I got a new operations manager, rather than stick it out under an absolute twat till my retirement I gave it 6 months banging my head against the wall and even started applying for jobs, bearing in mind I was very close to retirement.

I ended up jacking and had several months with no income because of principals.

Reckon JE's the same.

Who was Travis fuming at? JE or the club?

I meant as a fan

You don't take your time and give it to a novice in the meantime.

6th with 15 games to both the players and supporters should want better than that

Well that's me done.

I've supported the club for well over 60 years. I would never hear a bad word spoken about them. I've known many many of the players socially and the pre-Venky directors. I've had a family member play for the club. My family knew Jack. I played a very small part in trying to find a buyer for the club after the Kean horror show.  Family season tickets as far back as I remember. I've done my bit and now I'm done. The Venky's and their people are unfathomable, nothing has ever made sense about them. Rovers are on a managed decline as evidenced by what happens every time we get anywhere near the top six. It breaks my heart but that's it for me. Good luck lads, I know a few on here, the club doesn't deserve you. Fight the good fight but it's not for me any longer.  A super sad day.

Made me incredibly sad reading this. A perfect summary of the entire situation and its consequences.

End of an era for many of us.
