Eustace…GONE

The statement is another master stroke by Steve Waggott

He managed to produce a similar situation under JDT - instead, at that time, he brought in fan groups and senior players to almost provide a show of resistance against a "troublesome" manager

This time, he has realised that won't work. Instead the tactic is to put out a statement that effectively tells Eustace to go and that the Club feel they have done everything they could possibly do to entertain his ambition and demands

Waggott thinks that statement will work.

I think Waggott is correct.

You don't get to where that weasel has got without knowing how to "play the man". Waggott is playing the man here

A master stroke?

It reads like it was written by a jilted 15 year old.

one thing they can`t do is take away the memories of the good times, rovers were  always a well run club, even in the absolute skint times of the 80`s,when there was genuinely no money to be spent

That's true but the fanbase wasn't divided , Waggott and Pasha would be getting it big style on Saturday. Inside the ground and outside it ..

As angry as I am at the club and venkys, I'm a bit miffed at JE too. He's preached about togetherness and jumped ship at the first opportunity leaving the players behind.

I'm with you here. It's understandable to be mad at both.

JE is a smart football manager, who knows where Rovers are heading.

The Owners and Board are liars and crooks; from day one and they also know where Rovers are heading.

I think the opposite.

This knee jerk statement is the mark of an old has-been who has got it wrong this time.

Anyone with a brain sees straight through it. The “Significant Investment” line especially. I didn’t think the club could stoop any lower.

Mind you their stewards were stealing Cunha’s shirt off a group of children yesterday

From what I can see on fb and even the comments on Nixon piece it isn't changing the minds of the people who spout that the owners are doing everything they can financially and January was a good window

That's because these people have no brain.

Significant investment.

Paying the wages of 5 players to help out a very small squad from February till the end of the season.

What was the option?

That'll attract the best managers for sure.

Said it the other day, Eustace is gone. He is blaming the travel but knew that when he joined. We are top 6 at the moment and fighting for the playoffs.

Forget the manager, forget the owners, forget the management- the fans and the players deserve so much better. I hope Derby get relegated.

most of the more noisy fanbase stood in the blackburn end, these days the fans are more spread out and certainly less demonstrative, the last time we had a true home fans end was the era of the unrestricted home seating in the darwen end, which was great and certainly gave venkys and kean a right old slagging🙂

I've got to say it's very concerning if the club think the investment in January was "significant"

😂😂😂

It's the kind of investment you spend if you get a big gate in an FA cup tie. Not selling £30 million pounds in players.

Eustace has an unbelievable opportunity to stay at Rovers - for the players and the fans. Tell Waggott he is staying to the end of the season, he can stick his potential compensation up his ****.

If we get top 6 - he will be forever the manager that did it despite the owners. Even if we don't, the loyalty to the players and the fans would cement his management credentials for the long term.

I can dream

Don’t forget at the end of the season he can’t just quit. JDT tried that and was told he had to buy out his contract.

Therefore he would be reliant on a team coming in and meeting the release clause.

No chance.

The club statement effectively told him to F off.
