v QPR (a) - 4/2/2025

It is amazing we are only 1 down. That was a terrible performance. There is literally no point to an attack including Dolan and Hedges. Lots of running to achieve absolutely nothing at all. Our only threat from out wide comes from our full backs. It's like playing with 9 men and 2 excitable dogs.

I think it's to do with off-pitch issues. He genuinely just about escaped prison with a suspended sentence last summer. He hit someone on the head with a brick on Belgium.

Fuck me🤣 might explain it so

Positives: We're only 1-0 down

Negatives: Everything else

Horrible performance so far. Eustace needs to give it the old 'Aggressive', 'Show me something else in the second half'.

Apologies in advance lads - I’ve made 3 games this season and lost every one 1nil (Watford, Millwall and Burnley).

Hopefully the curse is lifted tonight.

Well that was a first half that happened. We usually come out of the blocks fast so conceding so early probably threw off our game plan. That's being generous to a woeful performance from a team that look like they did their recovery from the Preston match in the local Wetherspoons.

Lucky to be still in it. Very even first 15 mins with some good moments from us but from that point QPR more and more in control. Probably should be 2-0.

Needs some sort of formation intervention. Need a third man in midfield as we are getting out gunned there but also have someone close to Gueye... Tricky one. Probably Cantwell and Kagbo on for Wieman and Hedges? Ask Cantwell to sit in midfield and tell Kagbo to get close to Gueye?

Poor 1st half. Dolan, Buckley and Hedges useless. Dolan's silly foul, free kick, 0 1.

Saw JE shout to dolan as he lingered in no man's land. Changes needed if we are to get anywhere tonight.

Kargbo - Cantwell - Cozier-Duberry all on for the 3 amigos of God awful.

Weimann is basically the attacking midfield version of Jordan Rhodes - he literally offers nothing in the first 90% of the pitch*, knows where to be in the area - if we get there. Gets carried in games he starts.

*You can miss me with the "what about the Burnley goal" retort - that was an obvious one off*

I so want to like and defend Dolan. I appreciate his effort levels. But several years into his Rovers career (and probably the final few months of it), he is only consistent in his ability to repeatedly lose posession in the most elaborate way imaginable.

Really missing Trondstad. Weiman being forced too deep and not connected to Gueye

We are now seeing, just how important Tronstad really is. No one there to break up the play anymore and nip in and steal the ball.

I thought as soon as his injury occurred, it was the end of our play off hopes and think that’s pretty well correct.
