Tonight’s match was another victim of doing our transfer dealings too late. We have had a fairly nice run of fixtures in January but dropped far too many points. In the unlikely event that we narrowly miss out on the play-offs, we will regret these defeats.

We were warned about Cantwell but it looks like he’s in full Rangers mode now.

A stinking evening all round really, it says it all that the one bright spark is Kargbo taking a couple of players on before losing it but there isn’t really much more to be positive about on the pitch tonight.

It pains me to say it, but I think Hedges stays in the team to cover the full back rather than offer anything going forwards. It is the only logical answer I have.

You watch most the balls played into our left full back area, it's Hedges up in the air winning it. The problem is he is offering nothing going forward these days.

Have to give QPR and their manager full credit for the win. Stopped us playing and they played some neat football. A few questionable challenges that weren’t given as fouls but thats the way the cookie crumbles sometimes when you’re away.

Brittain and Beck were well tied down which seemed to be a deliberate tactic. 
 

Chair is just quality and wish we had him.

Yeah Weimann is a 20 minute impact sub. He was completely lost today - didn't stick near Gueye for the flick ons or drop into CM to help there.

I’d send majority of that team on holiday for a week. Worked their bollocks off all season, some look shattered/carrying injuries. Field a weakened team vs wolves and get the main lads a decent rest. We go again.

Hedges: 1/10. A point for not taking himself off. Such a poor winger.

Dolan: 5/10. Not his worst game and got the goal but I'm being generous.

Weinmann: 2/10. Invisible. Can't remember him touching the ball.

Guaye: 4/10. Ran his heart out but did little else. Lacked quality.

Subs: 0/10. Special mention to Cantwell who played as poorly as anyone over 90 mins, all packed into 10.

Kargbo gets a reprieve for being new and quick.

Eustace: 1/10. His worst game that I can remember. Allowed our midfield to be overrun for 70 mins. Left Hedges on and made some truly mystifying subs.

It definitely wasn't a howler though, nowhere near.

Seen it all before. Ineffective. Tepid. Impotent. Barely laid a glove on them all game. Gueye did what he could but Hedges and Dolan just aren’t enough of a threat. Cantwell didn’t touch the ball.

Sooner we drop out of the play offs the better. Rather it happen now than delude ourselves into thinking we’re anywhere close to good enough to stay in them.

Iv not been impressed by cantwell with the exception of a small bit of form but tonight he looks like he is carrying an injury a couple of times he slowed himself down going for a ball and altho he has been poor in possession overall  he has been working hard 

If he is carrying an injury and being asked to play that's not on him that's on the club not being quicker getting signings in

When was the last time you saw ACD run down the touchline on the outside of a player? Kargo did it to two lads in a row (before the CB came and cleaned it up). 

He's clearly quite quick. ACD is clearly quite slow.

I think only Prenton Park has a pitch as bad as that in all.the football league.

That said, fair play to Qpr. They were the better side and Rovers turned up. Very rarely that has happened this season.

Kargbo looks very promising and should have come on 20 minutes earlier. That run through the mud past 4 players at the end is hopefully a sign of things to come.

Great Dolan penalty but what a dumb foul that led to their opener.

Not ideal but two players off places up for grabs and I would rather be in our place than the other 9 in the pack
