Think that's 8 points from last 11 games.

We are about to enter freefall and expect much more of the same as we saw last night.

Eight points from the last 33 is freefall.  It's relegation form.

Some folk on here think we'll pick up form from now on with fewer games and the new signings etc but standing watching at Loftus Road last night I don't see it.

Because our form is poor ,8 points from 11 games is relegation form not top 6

Dennis hasn't kicked a ball competively in 9 month .Woodrow has hardly played and Kargbo is an unknown

They are hardly signings  where you think to yourself "top 6 here we come"

Everyone has a run of poor games.

Neither of those other clubs scream top 6 here we come you mention previously

Yes we in a sticking parch but I

It would require probably an average of 2 points per game from here on in. Well beyond this squad.

Rubbish, do you not have any believe that Eustace and these set of players can get a playoff.

So would other teams have 2 points aswell including a team who sold their number 1 with no replacement sign and another team who sold their top scorer and signed ok replacement but not the same quality. Maybe the point total will be lower.

He can only work with what’s he’s given. It’s not his fault if some of the players are sub-standard.

It is Eustaces fault if the attitude isn't right. I will give plaudits if it is, and criticise when it isn't.

The penalty spat looked absolutely ridiculous and almost childish but for me it's on Eustace. There should be a designated penalty taker and it has to be the managers choice. Given the pettiness around the incident I felt certain that Dolan would miss, there was an added pressure he didn't need due to ludicrous situation that developed.

It's to be hoped we are more certain who is taking penalties if the Wolves cup game goes to a shoot out.

We won and looked pretty good against Preston, generally have been playing well. Last night we got well beaten but overall think we have been pretty solid losing quite a few games marginally (Bristol City, Coventry etc).

We'll miss out on top six but should finish top half.

The big question the club needs to ask itself is how to update the squad to win mid week games over the November to February period. It's our absolute achilles heel - if we could solve that then we might have a chance of top six. We need more high energy high fitness players - these relentless games are not won by quality (although you need a bit), they are won by who is the least exhausted and the most fit when you have played 8 games in 20 days etc.

That's a very rosy view

Another is that Preston battered us in the last 15 minutes and could and should have won.  Why couldn't we do the same to QPR last night - we barely got in their half after they scored their second?

Have we been playing well - really? I went to Oxford and we were dire apart from the last 5 minutes. Another game decided by slender margins and one mistake, which keep happening. The fitness issue affects all clubs

This isn't perpetual half glass full stuff, just trying to be realistic. We've a very limited team that struggles - painfully - to score goals.

I don’t like picking on a player but hedges really really grinds my gears. What has he done for us in all the seasons he has been here, 1 goal v Watford?!
offers absolutely nothing up top and can I just mention he played as a striker for Aberdeen at times?! Baffling

get him binned please, I’m sick of seeing him lose the ball, either running into traffic or terrible passes

as others have said I don’t think we are a great team, have we controlled any game for more than 10-15 minutes at a time? Our ability to keep hold of the ball and sustain attacking impetus is non existent. Cantwell should be the one in there keeping hold of the ball and popping it off , but he looks weak and lost currently. Then we have our wingers who don’t have a clue how to hurt the opposition and just lose the ball. I’m interested to see if our signings improve us but if we can’t keep hold of the ball and invite pressure then we are going to slip down to the lower half sooner or later

You do seem to have an incredible ability to go to the games where we play the worst!

The way we've been playing the last 6 weeks or so, I'd say we're not good enough for a top 6 finish. I agree with one or two comments on Pears, he needs resting, and Toth given his chance. Let's just see how high we can finish this Season, and give Wolves a good hiding Sunday, and lift th FA cup.

He wasn’t as good as his last few games but much better than previously. I’d say he won more in the air than he lost but never anyone supporting running off him.

He was pretty average - which puts him towards the upper end of performers

I find it interesting that Gueye is being lauded. I thought he was poor last night. He always seemed to be nowhere near the ball and when he was he invariably lost out in an aerial duel.

At least Dolan was involved.

He had a shot brilliantly saved and put the penalty away. We never got near their box after he went off.

It's as if people give their marks out before we've kicked off, the Dolan and Hedges comparisons just show a lack of football knowledge.

He’s been excellent recently and fully deserved al the praise he’s been getting. Last night though I thought he was poor. I’m no great lover of Dolan but I think he did ok last night. When he went off we got worse. Same against PNE iirc

I’ve slagged off Hedges and Dolan quite a bit so I can’t really say otherwise, but it’s their final ball and decision making that I feel lets them down. They do both contribute a lot in other ways.

I think the group needs a mix up. It clearly didn't work last night Buckley Hedges dolan were shite, kargbo looked like he can be a handful so I'd be starting him every game now. Add the new guys in to the starting 11 something has to change now. Last night was the worst I've seen us play this season.

At the end of the day, the players look knackered. QPR harried and pressed us off the park. All stems from a wafer thin squad, the inevitable injury crisis that comes with an inability to properly rotate the starting 11 and the hierarchies plan to not properly recruit until deadline day.

We won't stop feeling the effects of that decision until late Feb/early March at the earliest. Not doing the basics and individual mistakes happen when we've no control of the game and tiredness sets in.

Nope, I dont have belief or faith in us getting into the play offs. Might make me a lesser fan in your eyes. Dont think the players we have are good enough and Eustace is obviously doing a good job but hes not been given the right tools.

You look at the league. There are 2 teams a point behind, 3 more are 3 behind and a further 3 are 4 behind. All of them have a game in hand bar QPR. So to make it, we have to be in the top 2 of a group of 9, so its going to take some serious points. On 45 now, usually takes into the 70s, so if its not 2 points a game it will be just off.

And now to us. We have 8 points in 11 games. That not a sticky spell, thats more than that. The midfield is key, we arent half the team without Travis AND Tronstad in it. Buckley and Forshaw do not provide adequate cover and Tronstad is still out for a bit. The defence is looking leggy and isnt well protected with Tronstad out so we are struggling to keep clean sheets. Pears has reverted back to a liability making regular mistakes.

Our attack has been poor all season, even in our 6 game winning run we were usually winning 1 nil. Expectation that these new signings will make the change, but youve got players who havent played in a while, the manager is quite cautious, and they need to gel, so any ideas of a suddenly exciting and free scoring attack seem pie in the sky.

Seems to happen every new year when the form inexplicably goes tits up...makes me wonder some times.
