Really poor from Pears, he's hardly busy and when called upon is weak in many ways.

The Twine free kick was ridiculous against Bristol, the shot tonight gets a good hand from a better keeper and the Preston goal was avoidable.

His defenders expected him to save all 3, we're quickly heading towards the Pears of last year.... and we can't afford it.

My big issue is how long he spent appealing for the handball.

He made the initial gesture, that's fine, that's normal, but he then made a second gesture as play continued. This undoubtedly meant that he wasn't in the ideal position or footing to then save a shot.

We don't have VAR. Why would you appeal once the decision hasn't been given?

Adding a name to my long list of footballers I’ve written off ever being anymore than lower Championship at best:

Aynsley Pears

Joe Rankin Costello

Harry Pickering

Dion Sanderson

John Buckley

Adam Forshaw

Ryan Hedges

Trhys Dolan

Makhkar Gueye

NEW: Amario Cozier-Duberry

Not to worry, we've signed a guy from a club in the bottom 3 of the division and a guy who's been injured for a year. Both loans

All hail our chicken overlords

That was a hard watch at Loftus Road tonight.

Time to admit what’s staring us in the face: Rovers are a poor side. The quality just isn’t there. This team hasn’t a hope in hell of making the top 6 and will probably finish somewhere in mid table, which would be a fair reflection of its abilities

What’s the modern word for something that’s ordinary, or uninspiring: meh? Apart from one of two, that’s how I’d describe most of the Rovers players. They’re meh. Just a team of journeymen going through the motions

Depressing

If you keep selling your assets and just make loans or get bench players who cant get in their teams you wont go anywhere....when did we bought a player whos been rioting the league? VENKYS OUT!

Selling or, often, letting contracts expire…

I do feel we lack quality in what is generally a low quality league. With a bit of investment, a chance to get into the play-offs arises - though the inevitable chasm awaits.

Is Jack Barrett our 3rd choice keeper now? If so, that is reflective of the foundations at the moment, as he has been shaky since coming in, as far as I have followed.

Our U23s are getting beat by non-league second strings. Individuals getting sent on short-term revolving door loans to non-league to ‘toughen up,’ but not much sign of quality or in some cases, games.

But we’ll add value to our loanees so that their clubs can profit financially/on the pitch - see Ayari and Ben Chrisene.

A poor performance in so many ways.  Sadly in the introduction of Duberry and Cantwell proved a mistake as we lost control of the game at this point.  We badly miss Tronstad and Yuki.  Their energy and application has been badly missed these past few wereks.

It was just terrible across the board. Players, Manager, Pitch horrific.

Soft goals, Dolan was a wreck first half, gave up on a ball inside the first few mins and threw the clapping hands up in the air when he should be bursting to get it, then the stupid freekick for the goal, I was livid. No need.

The front four will not be the front four in the next fortnight. It’s too late though to make any difference.

We are heading straight too a 12th place finish, while the West Broms, Middlesbrough’s and Norwich’s all fight it out for a playoff spot, teams that really want too go up. Really depressing to watch, again and again

Just on train home now and the disappointment is palpable. It's really frustrating that we got ourselves back into the game, looked like we were capable of going on to win it only to throw it away. Like Friday against Nobbers I thought our first two changes actually weakened us particularly Cantwell who contributed nothing. I fail to see anything he offers to us.

Throwing points away will certainly come back to haunt us.

I was amazed to see Beck picking up Frey on set pieces. He is so powerful in the air and the first goal would have been avoided had one of the centre halves or Gueye had picked him up. His free header in the six yard box was an awful goal to concede. That nonsense must be on our set piece coach. Here's a tip for him - let our big lads pick their big lads up.

Hopefully the new signings can hit the ground running otherwise our season will just fizzle out.

The QPR defenders were monsters and they were all up so there were too many big lads to mark for their opener. Gueye didn't look unusually large last night and was battling to win aerial balls he usually wins almost uncontested.

QPR slaughtered us in the aerial duels statistics.

Last 5 or so we're averaging 2 goals a game conceded, we were fortunate not to concede 2 against Preston as well. We're really creaking without Tronstad I feel, when is he due back again? 😵

I mean it isn't unexpected, but it's really hitting us hard now.

Whilst it's great to have Trav back, he doesn't look anywhere near as effective either without his partner alongside him. We seemed to be playing without a midfield last night.

Very disappointing Kargbo got so little game time but sure JE had his reasons, give the boy a start on Sunday though.

The midweek away day blues continue, but I don't think it comes as a major surprise. Looking forward to a break from the league and integrating the new lads now before WBA, you just know the stage is set for Tony and Adam to do us over there.

A shame. These championship games are won and lost with fine margins.

From our early form, there’s now lots of questions around the team. Why are we suddenly letting in soft goals? The keeper and defence have been magnificent until recently. What’s happened to Cantwell? Can the new boys hit the ground running? When can we get Sonny and Carter back in? More importantly, how quickly can we get Hedges and Dolan out?

2 wins in 11 is on Eustace. He needs to find the answers to those questions and snap us out of this rut, quick!

Something isn't right with set pieces at either end, for the last few games I watch our opponents take set pieces and I'm petrified. They look like scoring most times, I watch ours and they are atrocious and very rarely result in us getting anything on target. I feel we are back to Pears being found out.

8 points in 11 games.

Play offs arent happening.

Why?

We are 5th and just signed 3 attacking players. Dennis is a quality signing. Woodrow could be good. Kargbo has the pace we be missing.

Surely we have more than a decent chance of top 6?

Because our form is poor ,8 points from 11 games is relegation form not top 6

Dennis hasn't kicked a ball competively in 9 month .Woodrow has hardly played and Kargbo is an unknown

They are hardly signings  where you think to yourself "top 6 here we come"

Don’t talk daft. It’s on Venkys. Just as it was on Venkys when we imploded under JDT. The weakness of the squad has been found out again.

I was fuming after watching that last night. Literally nobody rated more than a 3 for me. Maybe Gueye gets a 4 for looking like he gave a shit. Could have put the controller through the tv when I saw JRC and Foreshaw coming on. Also when Cantwell was doing shit keepie uppies and losing the ball in our own half. What the fuck happened to the organised, playing it on the floor style from earlier in the season?! Not convinced about Kargbo yet. He looked quick in that run but he literally just came on fresh against a team who'd been playing for 90 mins. He did fuck all with it at the end anyway and was completely blocked off the ball, giving away the foul. Urgh, same every season, punch above our weight for the first half, crumble into dust the second half.

Doesn't work here, can't rate the final player (Kargo) and submit. On mobile I get an error, on PC (Firefox) nothing happens when I click a number for Kargbo.

Herbie6590 3/10 😉

Fixed now - he was missing from the database 😉

Cantwell has been ill and then struggled with a calf strain. Not sure he's at 100% so maybe that's why they've left it so late to put him on. Certain starter otherwise, but I think a lot here can agree that he could contribute a lot more. He gives the ball away needlessly and often chooses a difficult technique when passing, and because of that stops the progression in many attacks imo. Would hope more of that was coached out of him by now. Easy to make videos of him 'pur' and a lot of material for the highlight reels, but there are a lot more material for the lowlights.

I'm highly critical about Dolan too, but someone here pointet out that we fell back as soon as he went off. Have to remind myself that he has a lot of intensity in his game and decision-making will naturally be harder. Till try and give him a new crack in my mind. Hedges I have given up, he's a 6 out of 10 when he's at his max.

I took my mate to the game who's not a Rovers fan, supports Barnsley lol.

But he was baffled at Hyam, Dolan, Hedges and Cantwell how they're in a team that's in the playoffs reckoned they should be nowhere near the championship.

I didn’t see the Gueye / Travis fall out but I don’t mind the striker wanting the penalty nor the fact that Travis as captain took control.

Hopefully it didn’t get too heated and Gueye was right in the celebrations when it went in so hopefully all good there.
