I've been thinking about the squad when everyone returns from injury.

We actually have a decent looking amount of options. Granted several are loans on have contracts expiring at the end of the season but, in the here and now, I don't feel it's too bad.

If we're sticking to 4-2-3-1 then we have:

Hedges, Dolan, Kargbo, Cozier- Duberry, Ohashi, Gueye, Cantwell, Dennis, Weimann and Woodrow.

Quite a few options there...10  players for 4 starting places effectively.

Of course its the business of every fan and stakeholder in the club. The poor communication has been mentioned to them several times and as a Rovers fan and STH we have a right to know what is going, who will be in charge for tomorrow game and who took training today. We the Rovers fan base have a right to know

I dunno if you've noticed, but teams haven't needed to be all that to beat us lately. In fact we have lost to some right dross. And now the manager has fecked off leaving a demoralised dressing room, the club feels like it's in crisis again, and we are away.

I don't wanna be a Mercer here, but any gambling man would put money on us to lose, if they could bring themselves to do it.

Besides, Wilsden said he was suddenly more confident, and gave no explanation why. So I think the joke was appropriate, it didn't need any further analysis.

It is a bit weird they've not said who's taking charge tonight, pretty standard for clubs to say that, but then again - standard club we are not. Fuck emailing the club to ask then though 🤣

Last time under Johnno and Lowe against Stoke we actually played better than certainly the early days of Eustace' tenure, so you never know tonight. We either get a disorganised mess or a fuck off John we'll do this without you pal performance. 

AK47 is a must start, not sure Dennis will be able to start again though just yet.

Looking forward to it, more from a curiosity perspective really.

I reckon uncle Tony will be asked about the Eustace scenario and start gushing about how he's a great man post match 🤮

Yeah, weird that they haven’t announced who is taking the team. Jonty, Lowe and Benson etc have been in training, so I’m assuming them. Though it wouldn’t surprise me if a new manager is announced simultaneously when JE’s departure is confirmed.

For this game, I’d keep it simple:

               Trav.   Bucko

Subs - Toth, JRC, Sanderson, Ribeiro, Forshaw, Hedges, Woodrow, Weimann, Dennis

A lot of comments are doom and gloom, not what we need at the moment. If we can get our act together, and beat West Brom, it will set it up nicely for Saturdays Plymouth game. We have players coming back from injury soon, and Karagbo looks a decent prospect.

Why would they say who's taking the team tonight before Eustace to Derby is officially announced. He is technically still our manager. I imagine the presser will have been cancelled and if he's confirmed today they'll say who's managing tonight at the same time as that announcement.

I agree to an extent, but a well run club may, have put a holding statement out to say whilst negotiations between JE and Derby were ongoing, X, Y, and Z would be looking after the men’s first team training and team selection. Pending any further updates.

That would at least put the fans who are spending money to travel down to West Brom today, some peace of mind, don’t you think?

Yeah no reason why they couldn't say there is a stand-in taking the game. Same as if the manager was unavailable for any other reason - sickness, compassionate leave etc .

Feels like a shot to nothing tonight.

Club back in turmoil, no manager, away from home mid-week and big under-dogs.

Win with next up a home match against bottom of the league and well, it's suddenly a very attractive proposition to anyone unemployed with coaching badges.

Optimism - Felt like we lost every mid-week match we had with Mowbray (although it still feels that way!)

Optimism - Will the players be fired up after everything that's happened this week? (although they could equally be depressed about it all)

Travis will play a big role in which Blackburn Rovers turns up tonight.
