Plastics Posted February 13 Posted February 13 31 minutes ago, Blow-in said: Cunts? Also, if anything they are a Virus, they insinuated themselves into a healthy viable host and slowly poisoned it until it is a decaying husk. Sure, go for cunts. Obviously people can go for whatever they want (and that can be praised or critiqued) but when you've got someone here suggesting "vermin" all it takes is one person to come with a banner with that on, or indeed parasite, and you start looking like Burnley. I've heard them come up twice on podcasts where Burnley were mentioned and someone said the only thing they know about Burnley FC is the White Lives Matter flyover. Now the person who suggested parasite (I would presume) wouldn't want their message diluted and made about race in a wider setting than here. Hence why I brought it up. And given the person said that they were using the word very deliberately, I saw it as up for greater scrutiny as there was less room for misunderstanding 2 Quote

Nothing unusual in that, they do it before every away game. Last night felt so different though. They stood there for a bit longer but the look in their and and clear focus on the job in hand was apparent. Similarly at the end of the game they stayed for longer than normal and rightly milked every drop of respect of the fans. The connection between the players and fans last night should mean so much to us all. David Lowe mentioned this post match and it was good to hear that. People on here made several comments over the way they players look and it wasn't in a good way but how wrong there way. 1 Quote

Rileyt82 Posted February 13 Posted February 13 I live in the midlands and watched the local news who said that WBA was the better side in the first half. Quote
SpaceBarSlam Posted February 13 Posted February 13 Quite surprised to see the official club interviewer actually asking questions we're interested in the answer to and not just focusing on the highs of coming away with the win last night. Thoughtful lad is Dom. I can see him making a good coach/manager one day. 3 Quote

One unit, lots of love and respect that went on without words needed Quote

Quiet and understated, just gets on with his job effectively and efficiently. You hardly notice he's on the pitch at times. Zero drama, very low maintenance and a threat at the other end. Which strikers have terrorised us this year? Few and far between. I really rate him. 5 Quote

The stick that occasionally comes his way when we have next to no evidence about how good he is at his job baffles me, to be honest. No evidence? What about keepers coming in here and seemingly regressing. Keepers who in the past we have all agreed are poor only tonsee the go in to Premier League success. All of these keepers exhibit similar traits when here. All seems like eviedence to me. Quote
USABlue Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Immensely proud of our lads for this performance. It would have been so easy for them to just mail one in and be forgiven. But no, we scrapped and fought and showed some nice touches. BigMac was a monster, long may it comtinue. He was fortunate not to get in trouble early on with his elbow, he needs to be careful, but the WWE treatment he got the rest of the game withiut fouls being called was scandalous. Quote
Popular Post arbitro Posted February 14 Popular Post Posted February 14 (edited) There was a lovely moment at the end of the game on Wednesday. A Rovers fan and his young son were shouting towards Thyrys Dolan who wanted to give his shirt to the young lad. The stewards wouldn't let the father and son down to the front so Thyrys jumped over the advertising boards and fence and came up to them. They hugged each other before a clearly emotional Dolan went back. Well done Thyrys - it's the little things that count most. Edited February 14 by arbitro 10 Quote

Works his socks off game in game out. He doesn’t keep things as simple as they should be sometimes, but I still think he’s so under-appreciated by most. Seems a true gent too. I’m going to miss him when he’s gone. 3 Quote
