Despite West Brom being the draw masters, this has the feel of a definite result.

We are capable of beating West Brom based on their recent showings but psychology will be at play far more than usual in this game.

really like both Beck and Riberio but cant see both starting

Don't see how you can play both Cantwell and ACD in a midweek away match against a tough opponent. If you are going to play Cantwell you'd need someone like Dolan / Hedges / JRC alongside. I accept the fact that all 3 of those aren't good enough but in our position they at least provide some physical presence and /or workrate.

This is the kind of game out of nowhere that we'll go and get something. I hope so anyway, the players should use the Eustace situation to fire them up. Id play Dennis off gueye and just bounce the ball of gueye, hoping Dennis can latch into something.

Pears

Brittain hyam batth and beck

Travis and cantwell

Dubbery and kargbo out wide

Dennis just behind gueye.

Doubt we'll go that attacking though.

Bloody hell! Trav would be knackered by half-time in that line-up 😉

thats true, i like ACD, and him and Karbo on the flanks is great, so happy to shift Toddy for Gueye/Dolan and move Dennis

It is a bit weird they've not said who's taking charge tonight, pretty standard for clubs to say that, but then again - standard club we are not. Fuck emailing the club to ask then though 🤣

This is where the club let itself down every time. This situation should have been resolve on Saturday night/Sunday.

Rovers would have seen the rumours and did no one asked him pre game, is the anything in these rumours/report, yet Rovers management did nothing yet again

Who took the presser??

No presser yesterday

Why would they say who's taking the team tonight before Eustace to Derby is officially announced. He is technically still our manager. I imagine the presser will have been cancelled and if he's confirmed today they'll say who's managing tonight at the same time as that announcement.

Cos it called proper communication with your fan base and stakeholders. The important people that is your core of the club.

Rovers could have simply said that whilst Eustace and co have talks with Derby, Damien Johnson will lead the team as interim head coach and support by David Lowe, Mike Sheron, Karl Hodges and Ben Benson.

That's proper and correct communication with your fans

You've got to laugh sometimes and whoever wrote this (sorry I can't find it to quote) take a bow:

“Under Mowbray we would lose games like this tonight so I’m confident of a win”

Football fan logic is brilliant at times. I totally get it - if we were playing a WBA side recently bereft of a manager I'd be totally fearing the worst.

Of course we'll get thumped. Just hope Trav and the lads give an actual shit about the club and the fans and pull it out of the bag. Stranger things have happened. Football has a habit of producing amazing stories.

I’d go:

Pears

Brittain Hyam Batth Beck

Travis Buckley

Dolan Dennis Kargbo

Gueye

I don’t think Dennis liked being out wide (hopefully just struggling with fitness so didn’t do any running when out wide!)

I think Dennis showed he is really capable of playing centrally against Wolves as well, so I agree, have him playing in that role over Cantwell.

I think this line-up is pretty much spot on and would be good to see tonight.

In case anyone is in need of a laugh the following is part of what Mowbray has said (taken from Rovers match preview):

We have to be at our best in the attacking third to give them problems. They defend their box well and they counter well too with the likes of Tyrhys Dolan and Ryan Hedges, who are sharp and quick.

There are around 700 Rovers supporters taking the time and trouble to travel to West Brom tonight and as yet we don't know officially who will be picking the team and deciding tactics etc. It's just symptomatic of the disdain and disrespect the club has for fans.

Can we have a constant round of ‘we want Venky’s / Pasha / Waggot out, say we want Venky’s / Pasha / Waggot out’. Changing the names every now and again.

"We want Venky's out, say we want Pasha out, We want Waggot out, say we want Venky's out..." So on and so forth, sounds like an idea to me.

Impossible to say this one. Will the players be poorly motivated and kinda deflated after last days chaos? Or will they for some reason come out roaring to perhaps attract a decent manager? What about the new guys? And who picks the team?

Not sure I can conjure up enough mental strenght to watch this one tonight, but going by previous shitshows I’ll probably be glued to the screen again at 8. Prediction? 2-2. A dodgy penalty and an OG puts Rovers ahead. West Brom score 2 at the end and just unlucky not to get 3. Director of the movie in my head: M. Night Shyamalan (what a twist!) - so it’s gonna be ok until you start thinking about it and then it’s to late. You’ve already parted with your money and it turns out everyone was dead all along. Fuck this timeline!

a point I have made since last night.

Communication poor yet from the club.

simple statement like this "  whilst Eustace and co have talks with Derby, Damien Johnson will lead the team as interim head coach and support by David Lowe, Mike Sheron, Karl Hodges and Ben Benson. "

I’ve always enjoyed your overly positive posts for what they are, chaddyrovers, but looking at your reactions last week has me really worried. You are usually the one to find light where there is only darkness….even if it is actually dark. Hope something happens that will bring that over the top positivity back to you, mate. This truly is the most horrible timeline!

I am annoyed at how slow Rovers reacted to Eustace Derby link and why did we wait until Monday Afternoon for talks with Eustace over the Derby move. Rovers should have sorted it out on Saturday night/Sunday morning. just so slow
