I've said this elsewhere but, this website is probably one of the best for any football club around.

Shits all over the official Rovers one that's for sure.

Testament to all the hard work and dedication that is given by the people who are responsible.

I was thinking this myself earlier - the home page and the general feel of this website is far better than the Clubs for me. It’s very professional

If we could get the club to agree to letting you lads run the ticketing website it would make our lives a lot easier

Good work all involved 👍

Just adding my two cents!

There's a lot of people that think BRFCS is a Forum - and they're right, thats our most used feature. But the reality is as the world changes, I'm pretty convinced if we hadn't branched out when we did, we wouldn't be able to pay the running costs for the Forum alone. When I took over BRFCS the reality was every year it was on a knifes edge as to whether the site had paid for itself and if it hadn't, where we willing to spend our own money to keep it here.

Firstly, I'm now absolutely certain it's easier to get info on our next fixtures/results using the BRFCS.com website than it is to find that information out on Rovers website. As fixture changes are announced, the site will auto update, so the information you're seeing is the latest info RE date/kick off time. So if you currently use the Rovers site for this, consider using BRFCS!

Additionally, our new match centre (https://www.brfcs.com/football/match/1334966/blackburn-wolves) looks quite basic before a game, but during and after a game automatically brings in tonnes of data - who's on the pitch, stats and a realtime timeline of key events in the game. We're actively looking for sponsorship of our match centre, but to do this we need to evidence people using it, so please try and get into the habit of doing so! Especially the "Player of the Match" voting, which opens automatically after every game. You should get alerts (which are currently broken!) after the game for 24 hours prompting you to do it - it takes 2 minutes and really helps us.

Finally, we have (thanks to @4000Holes and @Herbie6590) lots of content on the main page. We have articles taken from the 4,000 holes magazine, guest columns by the likes of Rich Sharpe and Alan Nixon and 3 podcast offerings, The "What Now" Show which has monthly fan debate, "Kidder Street Noise" from Rob & Lewis and "The Rovers Inc" Show which assesses everything Rovers off the pitch.

All of the above is done through fans giving up their free time. BRFCS is a free to use website and after RoversChat was sold, is now the only active independent Rovers community. It's really tough to keep it alive, so if you'd like to help keep BRFCS going, please consider:

Writing Articles

Listening to the Podcasts

Becoming a Podcast contributor (or putting your existing podcast on BRFCS for exposure)

Buy something from our store - https://www.brfcs.com/store

Become a subscriber for an ad-free experience (https://brfcs.com/magazine/premium) *note this doesn't work, but it will be back working in due course!*

Vote in the POTM votes

Comment on the articles on the front page - if you enjoyed it, agree with it or even disagree with it, add your thoughts.

Try to get into the habit of using the BRFCS home page (www.brfcs.com) if you only currently use the forum.

If you'd own a company that would like to partner with BRFCS, we're open to sponsorship!

I'll spare mentioning everyone by name, but the IT team, content team and moderation team all go through the wringer to keep this ship afloat, so please support us if you can.

Thanks so much to yourself and the rest of the team for all the work you do on the site. It is hugely appreciated.

Just one quick question though, please.

Why does Alan Nixon get articles published on this site?

All of us with memories remember the stance he took against us when we had a nameless charlatan as manager and another nameless entity ‘sleeping’ at the club.

His presence disturbs me. I am all for forgiveness, I don’t wish him any harm, but I am absolutely not for forgetting.

I just wonder what he’s doing here.

Thank you.

He isn’t here in truth. We asked him if we could publish his Patreon stuff in here & amazingly he said yes if we subscribed. So we worked on the basis that for £2.40 per month we have inside track access to any rumours he might share which would be of interest to members of this board…(& therefore you don’t have to…).

Now, you can argue that his contacts at Rovers aren’t what they were but we find that nonetheless, a lot of folks like to know what he’s said & so we offered it to our members as part of our service.

Ultimately, we are trying to provide a breadth of content across various media channels to make this site the go to destination for Rovers fans. It’s unlikely you’ll agree with everything posted or podcasted on here, but if it starts a discussion, then that’s what we’re after.

Ultimately…nobody has to read/listen to anything if they don’t wish to - e.g. I ignore some newspaper columns because I don’t like the stance of the journalist.

Hope that helps to explain the rationale…

It may have been broken for a while but I start typing www.brf   the browser autofills it I must have it as a bookmark.

I get page not found if I click on the above link.

Two rovers shirts then the not found message.

I was also strugging to get the homepage but that seems better now.

Some usernames were showing page not found.

Some of my own account info I couldn't reach.

But all of the above seems to be good now.

On the subject of the design, layout and functionality of the site it is so much better than the vast majority of other fan sites I visit. Genuinely. That is not me being biased.

Commercially it may help if the range of products available in the shop were widened and the support / subscribe information was a bit more in your face. Meanwhile I sell a product range, if these were somehow promoted to site members successfully I would happily donate an agreed percentage to.this site.

Maybe create a commercial section were users can advertise their products and services and then once work/ money has changed hands the site could benefit from the lead generation?

Brfcs.com went down for me for a couple of days prior to North End. I couldn't access the home page and had to find links embedded within the forum to view. I missed the site.

Re your stuff - please DM me on here or email media@brfcs.com & let's see what is possible...

Thanks and appreciated.

Personally, it makes me less likely to subscribe though. I wouldn’t give the man 1p a month of my cash - even though I accept he knows more about comings and goings than lots of other journalists. Maybe I am just stubborn.

Thanks for being so open and transparent about it though.

I wish Jeff Bezos was so open about what is going on at the Washington Post!

Great job guys. The admin, content creators (including everyone who posts here), techies and moderators all genuinely care about both the club and BRFCS and that definitely shows in the care and attention given not just to the forum but the website as a whole. I'd agree that this is one of the best fan websites out there for any football club, having visited many different fan sites over the years. As someone who doesn't live locally, I'm incredibly grateful to have such a fantastic place to visit to both consume content and discuss all things Rovers.

FYI - we are aware that the POTM database hasn’t added today’s debutants yet…we expect they will come through as it refreshed overnight but we’ll keep an eye on it.

Vote for who you can now & check back tomorrow is the manual workaround for now…thanks.

Firstly, I want to thank all those who build and maintain this platform. I’m a software engineer (mobile) by trade and understand it’s a challenging and time consuming undertaking, especially when there’s no remuneration. So thank you!

The new updates are great.

One piece of feedback: On the previous version of the post-match player rating, the community average rating was hidden until your own rating was submitted. I thought this was fun, as you could see how your rating lined up against the average after submitting (more often than not, my ratings lined up almost perfectly against the average). On the new page, you can see the average already, which may skew a decision as people tend to follow the crowd. And it takes a little of the fun away.

Aware that will fall extremely low on any priority list (if it even makes it at all), but just wanted to share.
